Interaction with Guests
Interaction will depend upon the desires of the guests and the availability of the host.
The home is on a cul de sac street which makes it extremely quiet in the middle of this large city. While it's a quiet space hidden in the City, it is close to the many major attractions the City offers. There is a Gold's Gym less than a mile away with good parking early in the morning.
There are buses within two blocks & 4 minute walk of the house and
two major freeways are not too far away. There is plenty of free on street parking. The airport is 15 minutes away by taxi or shuttle.
Other Things to Note
The bathroom includes towels for 2, a hair dryer & a shower with good water pressure. There is a clock radio with ambient sounds for those who enjoy that.
The bed is Queen size. Extra pillows can be provided.
Checkin/out is somewhat flexible but checking in before dark is preferable. This varies from 5pm-8pm depending upon the season.
I expect guests to enjoy the privacy provided and calm peacefulness of the garden and to feel free to ask questions and make themselves at home. Due to allergies, pets are not invited and guests may smoke outdoors only although non-smoking is preferred. Guests, other than those renting, need to be discussed in advance.
Trisha was good at communicating with me in advance of the registration. She accommodated a change in the number of people without problem.
The room is in the back of Trisha's house, on a quiet street in the general west LA area. Not a lot to walk to, so a car is helpful. The room opens up onto Trisha's peaceful zen-style garden - I want her to do my own landscaping!
I was spending nine days in Culver City, attending classes at Antioch University (LA). This accommodation was a very easy one mile walk each way (15 minutes), whether one stayed on the regular streets/sidewalks, or, instead, walked via the very quiet cemetery. It was a perfect location. Very close to stores, places to eat--a short cab ride from LAX. Mostly I holed up and worked when I wasn't at school.
The apt. was safe, secluded, really quiet and clean. Right outside is a nice garden with tables and chairs. At night, with the windows open, the little fountain made it sound like it was sprinkling rain. The shower was great, the bed was comfortable, Trish offered to change towels and bedding, and even to help with laundry since I was there for nine days. The TV worked fine the couple times I turned it on.
Trish is friendly, helpful and always responsive. She's prepared guides for nearby attractions, eateries, stores, etc., with maps and everything.
There's a microwave, toaster, minifridge, and Kuerig-style coffee maker (with lots of 'pods' already there) located in a large closet. It worked great for me! But for couples or anyone staying an extended time, it's just a wee bit limited if you plan to eat in on a regular basis.
In all, this is a wonderful location with a wonderful host. It really enhanced the enjoyment of my stay!
The entire airbnb experience was first rate. Trisha was an excellent hostess. She even had driving directions printed out for me, so I could easily find where my training was being held. The room was everything it was advertised to be and more. It was a peaceful oasis. A comfortable bed and everything was spotlessly clean. Trisha's attention to detail was amazing from the kitchenette in walk in closet to extra clean towels. The location was close to all and a really nice neighborhood. Thank you Trisha, it was a pleasure to stay in your lovely home.
Very welcoming and friendly. Location was quiet and easy to get to. Very close to a Vons and Target. Enjoyed the private entrance, great shower pressure in bathroom, and peaceful garden area outside. The one thing is the bed is lumpy and has coils poking through it, resulting in sore back for me. Otherwise, I would stay here again once Trisha updates the bed.
Interesting note about the bed. Most of my guests have said how comfortable the bed is! This is the first time anyone has complained. There is no way coils are poking out as the mattress is covered in a heavy mattress pad which may have gotten lumpy. Will definitely attend to that.
Meeting Trisha was like meeting a long lost relative. She was warm and friendly to us. Our home away from home was comfortable, clean and offered us the quiet respite we needed. Everything we needed was available even shopping sacks for groceries.
We can't think of a better place to stay and the zen garden with fountain and beautiful roses was terrific and peaceful.
Thank you, Trisha and we look forward to seeing you again.

My host made me very welcome, she was delightful. The neighborhood was delightful.
Trisha was wonderfully welcoming! She kept in touch with me during my journey to make sure all was well. I felt very secure, particularly as a woman traveling alone without a car. The room is great, with an amazingly comfy bed and a perfect little kitchenette with coffee maker. The garden is lovely and peaceful. Would love to stay with Trisha again the next time I'm in LA!
About the Host, Trisha
Most of all I'm best at reinvention. I've had several challenging careers: in education, the film industry and human resources. My work has allowed me to travel extensively and I do more of that when on vacation. People are my pastime; I enjoy them, all kinds, all ages. I love to share my home with others, allowing them the freedom to be private and share when they wish. My tastes are eclectic and ever changing. I am looking forward to this new adventure right here in my home.
