Could not have asked for a better experience. Dimitris was a great host. He was quick to reply to all our communications. He gave us some local recommendations for where to eat and what to see. The room looked even better in person than the pictures online. The ceiling was tall and made the room feel large. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Location was perfect. Close to everything yet very quiet. Would stay here again for sure.
Ioannis was so welcoming and super helpful with sorting out logistics and tips for getting around. Really great host. The room was perfect - spacious, clean and light with a lovely balcony - perfect for watching the world go by, reading a book in the sun. As described literally steps from the port, and in the cobbled streets of the old town. Loved it - would definitely go back!
Charming place, comfortable room and service. Very easy and kind hosts. Dimitri and Ioannis were helpful and flexible, speaking well english. Breakfast was not included/proposed on the place as it was said in comments, and no possibility to eat lunch or dinner on place as described on the page. Maybe because we were too early in the tourist season? Anyways, Katerina was a vary nice place to stay in Chania and close to anything you may need.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful, they helped us on several occasions to find our way and organize our trip. The room was gorgeous and right in the heart of the old town, brilliant location.
Good rooms, clean and well equipped, in one of the prettiest parts of Chania old town. Only one street in from the harbour. Would definitely go back (did go back at the end of the week).
A most delightful experience. The air conditioning broke down and we were immediately upgraded. The breakfast was fabulous.
Our hosts greeted us upon arrival and were very friendly and helpful. They often sat in the reception area when we returned from our day's adventure, and we usually stopped in to chat and tell them what we experienced. They went out of their way to help us.
Katerina Tradional Rooms lies in the center of the Old Town Chania and is within a short stroll to the harbor, the restaurants and small shops - as well as to the main street. Our large room was charming, with french doors that opened out to the balcony overlooking the narrow street below.
We used our B&B as a base for taking hikes in Samaria and Imbros. We also took a boat trip to Gramvousa/Balos from Kissimos and had hike from Chora Sfakion to Loutro, staying there for one night. Chania is within a short drive to many attractions in eastern and southern Crete. One thing to mention for those who chose to rent a car - it is not always easy to find parking near the Old Town. We always managed to find a spot, but usually had to walk about 5-10 minutes to and from the car.
What we knew we would miss most from our stay was sipping coffee/tea on the balcony in the morning and enjoying good drink in the evening - with traditional Greek music from the restaurant below!
