About this listing
Semi-basement, very well lit which has just been completely renovated. In a modern style, it retains a rustic touch with woodwork recovered during renovations. In a sought after area and close to public transport, it is close to the cinema, parks, restaurants, fine food and a cafe / entertainment / laundromat.
Non-fumeur, pas d'animaux, respect des lieux, propreté, tranquillité.
Hôte très gentil et à disposition pour toute question. L'appartement est très agréable à vivre et très bien situé !
Je reviendrais avec plaisir.
Christophe is a great host! We had a really nice time at his apartment. It was clean and cozy and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need. The neighbourhood is safe and the bus stop is 5 minutes away (I must say it takes some time to get into the city, but it was not much of a problem as there are buses coming very often). I would definitely recommend this place!
Great experience! Christophe's studio was clean and bright, exactly as shown in photos. The house has everything you need for your stay,
just keep in mind that the bathroom is really small.
Even the location is good, especially for those who have a car: it is a quiet neighborhood with some nice restaurants nearby. The center can also be reached by metro.
I have personally met Chirstophe and his wife, who gave me gave me the welcome ans great advices on where to go :)
Christophe was very easy to contact and his replies were very fast and helpful. He had everything set up and ready for our arrival even though we arrived very late at night. It was also great that the pictures in the listing are accurate to how the apartment looked in person.
The neighbourhood was relatively quiet and very convenient for us to drive around to old Montreal. We spent most of our day sightseeing and at a music festival, so this studio apartment was ideal for our purposes.
We really enjoyed our overall stay and would stay at Christophe's listing again.
christophe and his family are wonderful hosts. really nice people who know cool places in montreal. they are always there for you if you need something but leave you your privacy as well.
the place is great for couples or singles. quiet neighbourhood and only about 10 min walk from métro "iberville".
go to have breakfast at "chez régine" on rue beaubien and have a scottsh egg at dominion taverne (downtown) - awesome!
Cute little room, not too far from the action of downtown montreal. It gets a little warm in the summer but with the pedestal fan isn't too bad. The train station is two long blocks away (15-20min walk) and then you have to change trains to get downtown. It's a pretty simple system but on the weekends you may end up waiting for the trains a little longer. There isn't a lot to see in the neighborhood where the room is located.
A few things to keep in mind:
- this is advertised as a separate unit but is the basement suite under the owners house. Not a big deal but there is some sound transfer.
- There wasn't enough toilet paper when we arrived! We messaged the owner but he didn't reply, so we had to buy our own. Make sure you check when you arrive!
- the photos of the bathroom don't give you a true impression of its size... It's small! There is hardly enough room for one person to get around. The bathroom (and whole house) is clean though.
Christophe is a perfect host from whom receiving a good “welcome to Montreal”. Sociable and easy going, he is always available for good advices about the city or food. He loves good cuisine and regional recipes and it is very interesting to talk with him about the city and its lifestyle.
The studio is a very comfortable and cute place, well organized even for a long staying. Everything is smartly placed to save space and preserve functionality. The essential style and many accurately selected details make the atmosphere pleasant and relaxing.
The neighborhood is a quiet area, well connected to the city center with bus and metro (the blue line station “D'Iberville” is 5 minutes far on foot). Nearby there are coffee shops, restaurants, markets, pharmacies, laundries, public gardens and other useful services.
When going back to Montreal, we will surely try to stay at Christophe's studio again.
