Nikie was beyond amazing, and her house is adorable and super cozy. She left us wine, toys for my daughter, and a really helpful book to dining in the area that we toted along everywhere and it had great recommendations. She responded to any pesky questions via text in seconds. We had the most relaxing weekend in her house and getting to know the area. Can't recommend this place enough.
This weekend getaway was exactly what our family needed, and Nikie's beautiful home was perfect! Our girls don't get to spend much time with the grass between their toes, and they couldn't get enough of the yard and the back porch. The home was everything we wanted, and while Nikie's description was wonderful, there were still a few pleasant surprises she left for us to find. Additionally, we loved the location. We spent our full day there picking berries, perusing the Farmer's Market, hiking, and enjoying the town's best ice cream. I highly recommend this home for families of all ages, couples, or even a retreat in solitude. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
Exactly the weekend we wanted. Very charming home with vibrant, fresh, relaxed style. Mornings and evenings on the screen porch out back listening to birds were the perfect escape. Nikie was very responsive in our minimal interaction. Everything you need and nothing you don't in this lovely old farmhouse.
We had a great two night stay at Nikie's house in Red Hook. Really comfortable, well-decorated, lovely property. We have two small children and the accommodations were just right. Would absolutely recommend to others travelling to the region; easy access to Red Hook, Hudson, and all of the trails and hiking in the area.
Nikie was really quick in responding to any questions we had prior to arrival, and really friendly throughout. We absolutely loved the house as did our young children, it's a great place to stay and really gave us the rest we needed. Thanks Nikie!
Nikie's house was perfect. We came for our daughter's graduation at Bard College. House was beautiful and spotless, location near Bard was perfect, and surrounding area is beautiful. Much more relaxing than staying in any of the hotels in Kingston. We recommend highly! Thank you Nikie.
Nikkie's home was the perfect weekend retreat for a recent wedding we were attending in Germantown! A peaceful well furnished home with tons of charm and character, just what was called for. Should we ever need a close weekend escape, Nikkie's home will be at the top of our list of options!
Nikie's place was really fantastic. I live in NYC and my when I needed a Hudson Valley long weekend getaway while my parents from New Zealand were in town, her place did the trick. It's not much from the outside, but inside it's just fantastic. Nicely decorated, great kitchen to cook, sunny and warm and quiet. We were four people - two in the main bedroom and two in the "kids" room, where one slept on the single bed and the other on the roll-out. The single beds may be a little small for two grown adult men, but we made do. Nikie was a delight to deal with and overall it was a great stay.
Nikie's place was perfect for a weekend family getaway. We enjoyed cooking dinner in her fully equipped kitchen and having our meal with the bottle of wine she had thoughtfully left for us. In the morning, the sunlight floods in, and there are various rooms in the house to enjoy - particularly the sunroom. On a rainy morning, we had a great time browsing her interesting book collection and curling up on the sofa and reading. Thanks Nikie for a great weekend!
