Casa do Tanque, once a traditional family home, has recently been restored to provide those who visit us with an atmosphere of comfort and well-being. Located in the heart of the Geopark in one of the typical streets of the village where you can visit Calvary, it is named after the "Tank of Rua D'Arca" that keeps the memory of the laundresses who secreted their lives there. Its location allows you to enjoy the historical, cultural and gastronomic heritage of our Villa, without needing the car.

On a visit to the surrounding territory, in addition to observing its biodiversity, you can travel the famous Paiva Bridges as well as the various Pedestrian Routes in our Serra da Freita and enjoy the freshness of its river beaches in summer.
For the more adventurous, Arouca also offers descents through the brave waters of the Paiva River in winter (rafting and canoeing) and in summer, descents through the crystal clear waterfalls that populate our slopes (canyoning). You can also hike our mountain range on mountain biking tours.
