An authentic experience in the heart of East Berlin. This boutique apartment has panoramic views from the 21st floor of the highest residential building in Berlin, right next to the TV Tower.
The Loft Berlin offers this unique studio apartment located in Hackerschermarkt, Mitte - right in the center of East Berlin.
With panoramic views from the 21st floor you can look out over what was formerly the GDR, nearly all the way to Moscow, and get a feel of what life was like while the wall was still up. The building is occupied by an eclectic mix of hipster locals and former GDR citizens, and was built in 1967 for the highest members of the GDR government.
This boutique apartment is named after arguably the most glamorous woman to emerge from Berlin in the past century, Marlene Dietrich, a true Berliner. With laquered exposed concrete walls and chandeliers Marlene captures the essence and extravagance of the roaring 1920s cabaret era with a twist of shabby chic.
Ideal for couples coming to visit for a short break or even the solo-ist looking for an interesting and unique experience in this vibrant and edgy city.
Situated directly between Hackerscher markt and Alexanderplatz train stations it is walking distance to all the main tourist attractions such as Museum Island, Alexanderplatz, Unter Den Linden and the TV Tower. It has dozens of bus, tram and train links to all parts of Berlin right outside the front door. The location is easy to find and very accessible from all the airports or train stations.
Parking space available for those that bring a car.

This was a brilliant apartment! Perfect position to explore Berlin and very secure. Check in and out was easy and smooth. Loved every second
We would stay here again. The apartment was clean, warm and cozy and we felt right at home. The location was perfect, being in the city center and a great view over snowy Berlin. There is a supermarket in the same street and lot of restaurants and coffee places are around the corner. Even a Starbucks, if you really must.
Great surprise to see that there were clean towels available and in the cupboard we found tea, coffee and honey. Quick reaction when making the reservation, and the key exchange was easy and pleasant.
Anyway: total recommendation, although not too many people should know about this room. :)
Firstly the flat is fantastic, that view is truly amazing.
As someone mentioned before its not a huge flat, but for 1 or 2 people its plenty big enough for a few days.
The hosts were awesome especially considering thanks to bad traffic I ended up running an hour late.
Everything I needed was there and the car park was brilliant.
Ive spent a lot of time in Berlin and always stay around that area, this is definitely the perfect flat to base yourself to explore Berlin.
Beautiful mini-apartment with a wounderful view just 5 min walking from alexandeplaz and from the main sights of the city!!!
In the nicest district of the city, in the perfect position for visiting Berlin!
I would really recomend!!!
The view from this 21st floor apartment of Berlin is fantastic! It saved us money from having to go up the tower in Berlin since the view from the apartment was comparable! Very smooth check-in and everything about the place was wonderful - it really couldn't be any better. It's also about a 30 mins walk to Brandenburg Gates which isn't too bad and totally worth it for the view.
The room was fabulous and really visitor-friendly. The hosts had a map and tourist information ready for us, and the space was decorated beautifully. The view was incredible and the location unbeatable. The trains going by next to the building did not bother us (and in fact enhanced the view!), but light sleepers might have trouble with the noise.
Awesome location, great building and a good base for getting around Berlin.
The room was nice and as per the pictures. Only a few negatives to note:
When we checked in, we were being shown the ins and outs of that apartment and I saw that the shower head was broken and could only be used if held by hand (it looked like it had snapped off) We were there for 4 days and nothing was done about it. A small thing, but quite frustrating (a little like showering from a hose) and easily fixed.
Another thing was the noise at night from the nearby train. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper, but found it quite difficult to fall asleep and was often woken up by freight trains passing through during the night/early morning. We were there early August and needed to have the window open on a few nights as there is no air con or fan, but the noise was quite severe.
Overall we had a good experience and would stay again, the location really cannot be beat!
Very easy to communicate with, fast response. Apartment was clean & like advertised. I would definitely book this again.
Ideal location, right in the heart of Mitte and near tons of great restaurants, bars, etc. Great view, nice bed, functional bathroom. Just an FYI: If it's hot out, there is no a/c, but that shouldn't be a problem too often with Berlin's weather.
Excellent apartment for a couple staying in Berlin. The surrounding area is excellent with many shops, cinemas, restaurants nearby, plus easy access to trains and taxis.
This was the perfect area to stay in Berlin, and we could easily walk to many tourist sights.
The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, and plenty of space for a couple. The building is accessible with a lift on the 21st floor.
It took only 15 minutes to get from the airport and only cost us about 20 euros.
I would stay here again and recommend it to all staying in Berlin.
