Location

Yucca Valley, California, United States

Let us introduce ourselves, I am Kerry and my husband Jeff Drozd of Tres Burros Ranch, Jeff moved to Yucca Valley in 1976, I arrived in 2000. I'm an avid bowler, I rescue animals and enjoy my rescued Greyhounds.
Jeff is a College Professor at the local community college. Jeff writes a blog about the Mojave Desert for DesertUSA.com called “The Mojo on the Mojave": https://www.desertusa.com/dusablog/category/blog
Both Jeff and I live at Tres Burros Ranch, the main house is about 120 feet from the 750 square foot bunkhouse which is where you would stay and offers privacy and security. The Ranch has been in the family since 1976.
Come stay in a clean, safe environment, feed our three rescued Burros and enjoy the surroundings of the Hi-Desert.
Once you drive down about 300 feet of a short dirt road you will arrive. We have wild bunnies, jackrabbits and squirrels. Coyotes are seen often and often howl at night. There are many birds chirping in the morning with the occasional Raven, Roadrunner, Quail, Owls and Hawks making their distinctive noises. There have been sightings of a few larger mammals in the area. You may see, hear or feel the vibration of training exercises on the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center. If the cloudless sky permits, on nights with no moon you will see millions of stars, bring binoculars or a telescope, you will not be disappointed. Of course a few times a day you might hear the “Tres Burros” breying in anticipation for a snack or meal from us or directly from your hands to their mouth. They will want carrots from YOU 
You will be 5, 10 or 15 minutes away from the Joshua Tree National Park, Pioneertown and the famous Pappy and Harriets Pioneertown Palace. 30 minutes from the Palm Springs Tram. 10 plus degrees cooler than the Palm Springs area in summer and 10 degrees warmer than Big Bear in winter. Occasional winter snows and summer days are under 100 degrees most often, much of summer we are cooler than the Los Angeles Inland Empire.

I love the great outdoors and all my rescued animals. I enjoy sight seeing, travel, the coast and mountains, 4x4 exploring, desert summer nights and cool crisp winters. I like anything old west, bowling/tournaments and spending time with my Greyhounds. Hosting my bnb and meeting new people is especially fun.
