We were in town for the Passport to Dry Creek Valley and were extremely happy with our accomodations at the Nook. It was the perfect size for three adults and was very close to tons of restaurants and wineries. Lisa met us at the Nook to walk us through the property. She also gave us several restaurant and winery recommendations (thanks for recommending Walter Hansel...we had a great meal there!).
The garden behind the property was beautiful! We enjoyed sipping wine while playing Yahtzee and watching the hummingbirds and finches. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Our stay at the Nook was a wonderful experience. Location was amazing and walking distance to several wineries. You really felt as if you were in the middle of wine country with all that the fresh air and peace and quiet can offer. Accommodations exceeded our expectations and were more than adequate for our weekend stay.
Lisa and Wendy were charming and very attentive to our needs. The Nook was a cute house in the middle of lush wineries. It had everything you would need! We were 4 adults and everything was just right. We had a wonderful dinner at Walter Hansel and at John Ash and Co. We'll be back!
The Nook was perfect for our trip to wine country. Wendy and Lisa we're very nice and accommodating. We had 4 people in our group and it was plenty big for us. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing weekend getaway!
- There are neighbors on the property. This wasn't an issue at all for us, but you'll need to be mindful of making noise at night.
- The kitchen doesn't have butter or cooking oil, don't forget these at the store on your way.
Lisa met us at the house and was incredibly friendly and helpful. She told us everything that we needed to know about the property and answered all of our questions. She also gave us some very helpful advice regarding where to visit and generally what to do in the area.
The Nook was incredibly comfortable and clean. It was in a beautiful location - right in the middle of wine country. It was very easy to navigate and it was definitely an ideal place to stay in Sonoma. It was a great experience and we want to visit again soon!
Met us when we checked in, responsive with email questions before we arrived, and great recommendations for us while we stayed. Thank you for having us Wendy and Lisa!
About the Host, Wendy And Lisa
Wendy is a city slicker who fell in love with the country. She's lived and worked in Manhattan, Japan, Chicago, San Francisco, and Mill Valley in Marin County, then she swam upstream to take root in Sonoma County. Lisa is a competitive endurance athlete who loves to unwind by cycling through the wine country…"nuthin' better", says she :) She is also crazy for BIG reds. We grow most of our produce, drink as much wine as schedules allow, and enjoy lingering over healthy, well prepared meals. Airbnb is a natural fit for us since Wendy loves to travel and Lisa loves to stay put in Sonoma County, and both of us love to entertain at home. We also love referring others to great people / experiences / places / services etc. and do that almost daily in our 'regular' lives. We are 'hooked on the nook' and look forward to sharing the love that went into it with you.
