We loved The Barn. it was clean, spacious and full of character with everything that you could possibly need. Ruth was a very helpful and kind hostess and the breakfast goodies that she supplied could feed an army! ( croissants, bread, juice, rolls, cereal, butter, jam plus plenty of tea and coffee) There were beautiful river walks literally right near the front door and we loved visiting the villages and Chatsworth House. It was a very relaxing break and Ruth had left a huge folder full of things to do in the surrounding areas including child friendly activities. The house was also very well equipped for rainy day activities with box games, cards and over a hundred DVDs. We holy recommend it for coupes, families or groups of friends.
My parents and I stayed in the Barn for 3 nights while exploring the Peak District. The Barn was beautifully restored with great facilities and kept very clean. Across the road is a lovely stream and we did some nice walks and a bike ride in the area. Ruth lent us some bikes and gave fantastic recommendations for things to do in the area. Would highly recommend a visit!
I stayed with 5 friends at Ruth's place for one night and we all absolutely loved it! Ruth is such a lovely host and her place couldn't be any more beautiful. The rooms are very specious and are beautifully decorated. Each of the bedrooms have their own bathroom which are very beautiful as well. The kitchen is better equipped as my own at home and the "basic" breakfast that Ruth prepared for us wasn't even basic at all, cause there was nothing missing. We will definitely book this place again in the future and can very much recommend for anyone else to book this place as well.
