Interaction with Guests
I am usually around town while guests are staying. I am reachable most times via text/email - I respond quickly.
The house is located within the Village of Warwick. We are located on a busy road (Rt 94) however - the backyard is sprawling and quiet - walking distance to shops/restaurants makes it the best of both worlds - town and country. The neighbors whom share the driveway are wonderful people and everyone minds their own privacy.
Driving is a must in Warwick. Though our home is located walking distance to town - so a night of a few glasses of wine is short walk home instead of needing to drive. There are cab services. Public transport to warwick is via bus njtransit. A car makes life much more manageable here.
No Smoking inside the house. Well behaved Dogs allowed with separate pet waiver.
Communication, booking, checking in all went well. The house was easy to find and the set-up was just what we were looking for. My only reservation in recommending this home is that it is in desperate need of cleaning and some repairs. If you are a clean freak, you will not be happy here. If that doesn't bother you, the house is really cute and will likely meet your needs. The other point to note is that there is no A/C, which is common in the area, but difficult to handle if it gets hot or very humid/rainy.
Hi Deanna - the house is thoroughly cleaned by professional cleaning between each rental...that said it is an old house with some nooks and crannies. I will be sure to have them do a double cleaning this week.
As for AC - yes we publicize that we don't have AC in house - bc of the shady property - it's rarely needed except for a few hot days of the summer - there is a vintage attic fan system that keeps the house cool as well as other fans in the bedrooms.
Thanks so much for the feedback and the other suggestions. Will definitely make note and adjust accordingly. Thanks.
We had an amazing experience at Kim's lovely home! We were staying in the area for my wedding and this was a perfect house for all of the bridesmaids and myself to stay for the whole weekend. The rooms are all clean, there is a lovely kitchen for cooking breakfasts together and also a gorgeous backyard where we took some pictures before the wedding. Kim made us feel right at home and also provided recommendations of nail salons and restaurants in the area. You have to try consciousfork, delicious!
Had another great stay at Kim's! House is in a perfect location, very close to the village, kids were able to enjoy the snow in the yard and we had plenty of space for our thanksgiving dinner. Highly recommend!
We had a lovely stay at Kim's home for six nights with our toddler. We would certainly recommend it to friends. It was the perfect location for all the fall activities around Warwick. We walked to town a few times which was nice but also a trade off since the house is on a busy road. The house has some quirks but overall we enjoyed exploring the enormous wooded backyard and nightly fires in the cozy living room. The beds were super comfortable, firm and supportive, and we slept really well. I loved the warm blankets in every room of the house, very thoughtful. Kim was a great host and was accommodating to our last minute requests. We also enjoyed a few yummy and healthy meals at her restaurant in town. Thanks for a great stay!
Thank you, Kim, for being so accommodating. The home was just as expected, lots of country charm. We love Warwick in general, so to be close to town but still have a large yard and room to spread our wings with 2 kids was a huge plus! We will be back!
We spent an entire week at the house to really get the experience of leaving NYC. Everyone had a great time and we felt like the house was ours after a day or two. The huge backyard was perfect for the dog to run around, and other than a few trips into town we mostly relaxed at the house and enjoyed the backyard. Thanks Kim!
This is house is very lovely. Warwick is such a sweet town with a lot of attractions nearby. Be sure to check out Greenwood Lake.
We had a very nice stay.
