We had a decent stay at Catia's apartment. The location is great, just outside the city but only a quick cab or subway. The apartment itself we weren't so impressed with - it was extremely hot due to being on the top floor of the building (a converted loft/attic I think) and the two air-conditioning units, whilst working fine, aren't adequate during the day purely because there is no way to stop the sunlight coming in through the windows. The place really needs some heavy curtains. In the main bedroom, there is a piece of cardboard covering part of the window but you wake up with sun directly on you from first thing in the morning. Also, there's one double bed and one single in the loungeroom, one double bed in a bedroom and then a kind of trundle bed in the hallway so whilst it can sleep six or seven, it wasn't particularly comfortable, especially for those in the hallway who were woken up every time someone needed to use the bathroom (the door handle of which fell off every time someone used the door).
Overall, good location but the apartment needs some work to make it comfortable - I wouldn't stay there again in the existing condition except perhaps in winter. I never met Catia personally but she made the experience easy.
I didn't get a chance to meet Cátia, but communication with her was very responsive. Her apartment is super charming. The evening view from the living room is spectacular. It does get quite warm in the apartment, but the air conditioning works perfectly. It does get pretty bright in the mornings so bring sleeping masks if you're sensitive to light. Parking was also very convenient right outside her apartment. Thanks for the stay! Cheers!
:) Super recomendo.
We weren't so happy of our choice.
We never met the host.
Far from the center.
Bed located right under a big window, impossible to sleep with so much light.
Flat was nice but many things were only to look but not to touch.
Apartment is very charming, even more than on the pictures.
It's perfect for families - kids will love it.
Well communicated and has many shops around.
Perfect for short stay.
Unfortunately it has quite low ceiling, it's on the 4th floor (no elevator) and quite noisy (airplanes and traffic). It can get very hot inside (even with AC). Wifi connection is poor. And we had few cockroaches.
Also - we didn't have a chance to meet the host personally.

About the Host, Cátia
I'm 35 years old and I’m in love with Lisbon. I moved to Alcântara and it was love at first sight, because of that my PhD thesis is about this wonderful neighborhood in the heart of Lisbon, where I address the importance of preserving local identity and the wonderful heritage that Alcântara has.
This is the reason why I wont to share this wonderful apartment with 100 years old, full of history, identity and tradition in my family with you.
When I travel I like to feel the soul of the city and this is my main goal for the guests: to feel the soul and fall in love with this wonderful city, the same way I did.
