Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Stay in a 1967 Airstream tastefully reimagined by an acclaimed local designer Joel Contreras (whose work has appeared in Dwell, ArchDaily, etc). Enjoy your own private, fully fenced yard. Lounge on the wood deck with a coffee in the morning. Relax and have a drink by the firepit at night. A truly one-of-a kind space in the perfect downtown location - the eclectic Coronado Historic Neighborhood, recently called "Hipsterhood'' by Forbes magazine. Featured in TV shows, photoshoots, etc. INCLUDED 👇

The space
The Airstream -

While this is an authentic vintage 1967 Airstream Overlander (27ft), it is a “trailer” in name only. We have two AC units rated for a small house, a gas powered tankless water heater for unlimited hot water, electricity and a fast (Gig) Wi-Fi connection throughout the property. In other words, yes - glamping.

The Amenities -

Inside, the Airstream is well stocked with everything you may need. For cooking, we provide an induction hot plate to heat your skillet, pot, or a hot water kettle (provided). SMEG toaster. Small under the counter fridge (with a tiny freezer). French press with local coffee grounds, a Keurig machine, and a tea selection. Exhaust fan above the kitchen.

The dinette is a perfect place to eat or work (space for 2, maaaaaaybe 4). I have personally spent many hours working from this peaceful and relaxing space. I provide some dishes (plates, glasses, cups, bowls), and silverware. Please understand - space is VERY limited!

Tuft and Needle Full size mattress (54'x75'), premium all cotton linens (highest rated on Amazon), cooling hotel pillows and premium all-season comforter. Magnet reading light, portable fan for air circulation. Secondary portable heater if you need it.

Walk-in bathroom features a custom shower (with terrific pressure and unlimited hot water), and a selection of premium shampoo, conditioner and soap in a dispenser. Premium 100% cotton towels (body and hand), black makeup remover towels and single pack Neutrogena makeup removers. Please note - there is no door on the bathroom - we couldn’t think of a way to make one work without chopping up the space.

I really tried to think of everything! And took many of my guests’ suggestions over the years to improve the space even more. While the space is VERY tight in the Airstream, guests have commented that they felt that they had everything they needed and were comfortable.

The Yard -

You are in your own private, and fully fenced yard, seating on the back of a historic house I own and also rent as an Airbnb. The only part of the house that is shared with other guests, is the parking lot that is just outside your gate for convenient (and free) parking.

In the yard is a large wood deck with two plastic Adirondack chairs, a shade structure over the Airstream and the deck, a large seating bench, and a custom fabricated metal firepit. Oh, and lots of beautiful plants that are lovingly maintained by my long time landscaper (who you may encounter). I buy firewood from the same vendor that the luxury resorts do - so it’s all properly cured, and only the premium woods for less smoke and better smell.

The Neighborhood -

We are located in the eclectic Coronado Historic Neighborhood, recently called “hipsterhood” by Forbes magazine. We are one of the oldest neighborhoods in Phoenix, and closest to Downtown Phoenix and the thriving Arts District scene.

Two cruiser bikes could easily take to a number of local staple restaurants like the Coronado Cafe, Ollie Vaughn's, and many other fantastic places. Our location is the epicenter of the thriving foodie scene in Phoenix with the Arts District and Downtown Phoenix mere minutes away.

Phoenix is mostly a driving city, but there are quite a few places that are walkable from our house - the Walk Score is 76.

Some driving distances -

- Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport - 3.4 miles / 7 minutes drive
- Phoenix Convention Center - 2.3 miles / 7 minutes drive
- Grand Canyon University - 7.5 miles / 20 minutes drive
- Old Town Scottsdale - 9.5 miles / 20 minutes drive
- Banner University Medical Center - 0.6 miles / 3 minutes drive
- Multiple freeways nearby for easy access to anywhere in Phoenix and in Arizona in general

Guest access
Guests have full access and complete privacy inside the space and can enjoy full use of outdoor amenities as well. Parking is on my lot, right in front of your gate. Check-in via electronic locks and your own code.

I live in Phoenix, AZ and love to travel. All the properties I manage are my own, and I visit them all at least weekly. This means that I control every aspect of the property and your stay - beginning to end - eliminating unknowns and uncertainties. I truly strive to provide the very best travel experience for you. One that I would want to have if I was staying in someone else's property when traveling.
