Our home is a 950 square foot one bedroom in the fabulous Bernal Heights neighborhood. It is located about 100 steps from Cortland Street, the heart of the Bernal Heights neighborhood. Great restaurants, groceries, a library and shopping are just around the corner. Bernal Heights Park, with amazing views of the city, is just up the street one way and the other direction is Holly Park. Our cozy home has one bathroom, wi-fi, a working wood-burning fireplace, and a backyard patio. Washer and dryer are also available for use. There is a TV with DVD and stereo and records. We have a 3 year old and so there is a child's bed available in the room as well as the queen-sized bed. This is a great neighborhood to hang out in and is very convenient to access the rest of the city. The Mission and Noe Valley are right down the hill and highway access for both the 101 and 280 is close by. The public bus is right on the corner for riding into other neighborhoods and the J-line train can be caught a few blocks away down the hill and ridden all the way to the Ferry Building. There is no on-site parking, but parking in the area is pretty good compared to most of San Francisco.
We are remodeling our bathroom and have just completed new tile in the shower and have installed a new shower system. The bathroom walls have been removed, but the bathroom is fully functional and has a rustic charm to it.
We want any people interested in staying at our place to be aware of this.
Also- there is a real decorated Christmas tree in the living room for any guests that will be celebrating Christmas during their visit.
It was a perfect place for me to stay in Bernal Heights.
The house was clean, comfortable and close to Cortland where one can hop on MUNI, as well as a short walk to a variety of stores, restaurants, bars and parks.
Very quiet and peaceful.
The owners were responsive and easy to communicate with.
A lovely apartment in a sweet San Francisco neighborhood. The apartment was spacious, light-filled, comfortable and beautifully decorated. A sunny back yard was perfect for meals, or having a cup of tea or coffee and making plans for the day ahead. Bernal Heights is a great neighborhood, with lots of small restaurants, cafes, and groceries for everyday needs. Parking was super easy.
Matt was great to chat with, very clear with instructions, and available for help and questions before and during our stay. He also went out of his way to gave us a list of neighborhood and SF area places to eat and see. Highly recommended!
The house was lovely, very cozy and welcoming with whimsical art and a tall ceiling, spacious feel. We enjoyed our stay immensely, getting up in the morning for a walk to the hill and great coffee and pastries down the street. Matt was responsive and helpful and a great host. The street was quiet and parking was not too challenging. Overall a great place to stay.
