Our fully furnished suite is a charming private retreat complete with queen-sized bed, high-thread count sheets, and spa-like luxury bathroom. It's the perfect hotel alternative for a romantic holiday, a well-deserved vacation, visiting friends or family, or the business traveler. Located on the lower level of the owner's attractive 1938 home, the guest suite has a private entrance and access to a beautifully landscaped and tranquil garden--perfect for morning coffee before a day of sightseeing or work.
We list our suite as an "entire home" because you have your own entrance and we don't enter the space during your stay. While we live upstairs, the suite is much more secluded than a room in someone's home and provides the great experience of living like a local. Please note there's no kitchen (refrigerator, electric tea kettle, and coffee maker only).

Daniel and Andy's place in The Castro is extremely stylish and comfortable. A great bed, a luxury high tech bathroom, delicious goodies for breakfast and a great location all mean you can't go wrong with this choice. Highly recommended.
This snug little studio just oozes cool and class. It's not often I walk into a room and just stand there, open mouthed and squeaking "Wow," but this one did it. It's AMAZING. Just pure quality, everywhere you look.
The little touches, like the soft shag carpeting underfoot, the soft romantic lighting, the electric bed, the rainfall shower with a direct but totally private view out to the garden, the gourmet cheese and banana bread, the ground coffee, the comprehensive and informative welcome pack - I could go on and on, but I'm loathe to share this place with too many people, because I want to be able to come back at some point!
The location is perfect - on a pretty, quiet street, just a few minutes away from the main street in the Castro, with easy access to downtown SF on the F line. You want peace and quiet and a great movie on the big screen TV? You have it. You want to rave the night away in the Castro and be home in minutes? You have that, too. It just couldn't have been better. I'd never stay in a hotel again if I could have Daniel and Andy's pad anywhere in the world.
Daniel and Andy were perfect hosts - extremely welcoming and full of information, if you needed it. The whole experience was PERFECT.
Thank you, Daniel and Andy!
Daniel's suite is just as described, and extremely well outfitted. He and Andrew couldn't have been more helpful, but also stay out of your way -- an ideal arrangement. The location is terrific if you're a walker as I am -- excellent transit, shops, restaurants and entertaining street life within a few blocks.
Daniel's place could not be better situated for seeing SF. It's an easy walk to anywhere you'd want to go in the Castro and beyond. Daniel also makes it really easy by providing detailed information for everything in the rental and the surrounding neighborhood. Take advantage of the coffee and continental breakfast they provide by spending your morning in their amazing outdoor space. This is by far the best Airbnb experience I've ever had! Don't stay anywhere else in SF if you can stay here.
Daniel's place is a real gem. Very stylishly decorated and cosy too. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom very cool. A fridge in the room was also stocked with breakfast which was a nice treat. Daniel was very easy to deal with and the manual and instructions for the space made everything self explanatory. The location is fantastic too with shops and restaurants just a couple of blocks away. Would definitely recommend it.
This place has some unbelievably cool features, including an adjustable bed and amazing bathroom with heated floors and heated toilet seat! It's very small, but the space is very well utilized, and is like a small deluxe room in a fancy hotel! Daniel is a lovely guy, and was helpful. The location is very near the heart of the Castro, but is a bit hard to find, and it's a bit of a hike to restaurants and mass transit. Probably not a difficulty for younger folks (I am 60 and not in great shape). Be aware this is a super-deluxe basement apartment, but it's still a basement; we weren't prepared to hear footsteps and conversation overhead, although it did not disrupt our sleep, and if you're using their amazing TV you won't notice it. We noticed it when we were trying to read. However, if you can deal with these small things, you'll have a great experience, An amazing and beautifully designed place to stay, a bargain in San Francisco! Highly recommended.
Excellent accommodations - description, reviews and photos all on point!
We had a great time in San Fran. The place was accommodating and in a great location. Would recommend to anyone.
This was our first time using air bnb and where better to use it than at their offices capital in San Francisco.
The property is exactly as advertised. It's in a fantastic area called the Castro and only 5 mins walk from a muni metro (tube station). You can be in the city in 15 mins at minimal cost. We didn't use a taxi once. The area is extremely safe and security at the accommodation is excellent. There is a locked gate, private entrance and a security code to access the accommodation. Excellent wifi at no cost.
On arrival Andy showed us about and after that we weren't bothered. The accommodation is fabulous. Sparkling clean, luxurious and fantastically comfortable. On day one we spotted many of the hotels we thought of staying in and were glad we chose Daniel and Andy's place.
There is a fridge which had orange juice, bead, milk, cheese etc on our arrival. There was tea and coffee making facilities also. The bathroom and shower were as you would see in a 5 star resort coupled with a lovely private garden.
So the accommodation was excellent. Now a mention of the hosts. We didn't see much of them but found them to be excellent (sound as trouts is a term us Irish would use). Like a plonker I left my coat behind me on the plane and met Andy on day one in the tube station. He noted I hadn't a coat and it was cold. When I mentioned I left it behind he offered me one of his eon for the week. Absolute gent.
The area is super. Littered with excellent restaurants and bars. There's just a warm glow about the place.
San Francisco is a fantastic place, and I've been to in excess of 50 countries. The Castro and Daniel and Andy's, made it a holiday to remember for a long long time.
If there was a 6th star I'd give it. :)
Everything at Casa Caselli was better than perfect. I would recommend Daniel's place as a great homebase for anyone exploring San Francisco. The apartment was immaculate and gorgeous and in a great location close to restaurants, shopping, the streetcar, the subway and gorgeous views. Having tasty organic snacks in the fridge when we arrived was such a nice welcome.
