An elegant hill-top refuge, Villa Arboleda offers a stunning visual experience of the Dominican Republic’s Samana Peninsula. Nestled high in the luxuriant tropical hills of the beach-side resort town of Las Terrenas, this spectacular home was inspired by the style of Le Corbusier's Villa Savoye. Beautifully designed, with five bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and expansive outdoor space, Villa Arboleda can be your ideal vacation get-away in the jungle.
Relax in the infinity pool, contemplate the ocean from your private balcony, or sunbathe on the roof-top patio – Villa Arboleda (“Arboleda” is Spanish for wood, or copse) was designed to provide the comforts of a luxury property while complementing the natural beauty of the area.
Villa Arboleda is part of the Ocean Breeze project, a gated community of luxury homes within Parque Las Terrenas, located one mile from the beach. The house is a 12-minute drive from Las Terrenas and five minutes from the local airstrip, El Portillo.
Las Terrenas is located on the Samana Peninsula on the north east coast of the Dominican Republic, a 2.5 hour drive or a 45-minute flight from Santo Domingo.

We've just finished a lovely stay at the villa. Great location, close to Las Terrenas and multiple excellent beaches but secluded and private. The house is beautifully designed: spacious, floor to ceiling windows, lots of light and air, huge kitchen and dining area for group meals, stunning views of ocean and/or mountains from everywhere on the property, including the bedrooms and the pool. Photos do not do it justice.
The owners are very professional about the arrangements and the staff at the house are attentive to just the right extent. The caretaker booked us massages at the house and a whale-watching excursion. and made sure that the house was kept very clean. We had been somewhat concerned about the steep drive up to the house but it was completely manageable in our compact rental car. Safety was never a concern.
We are experienced travelers, who live in DR and have covered a lot of ground in this country and others, and we will definitely stay here again when we have the chance. Our visitors were pretty blown away.
Very good value for what you get, especially if you have a larger group, which the house can accommodate comfortably.
Our experience at the house in Las Terrenas was incredible. The house felt more like a hotel. There were a total of 6 of us, and we each had our own bed. The views are spectacular, and the pool was perhaps the icing on the cake. The house was very clean and well-kept as well. It's a very short drive away from the beach and nearby restaurants in town. Finding the house was a little tricky at first (since we arrived by night) - but it's fairly easy to locate by daylight. I would definitely stay there again, and highly recommend it to others.
A group of 8 people stayed at the Arboleda for 3 nights this November and had a lovely experience.
It was our second time in Las Terrenas and the first time we stayed at this house, and I have to say that our overall experience there (both the architecture and the location at the top of a hill) was phenomenal.
We went there for a fashion photo shoot and the house was stunning. It was also very clean, comfortable and accommodating for a large group. Justin also helped us organize some chefs to come and cook for us a couple nights that we were there and it was excellent.
Seriously the best house I've ever stayed at for the price. I give it a 10 on 10 and I've travelled all over latin america for photo shoots so I know what I'm talking about.
Only freaky thing is the drive up the hill to the house. Rent a 4X4 when you come here!
