It's quite literally the closest you are going to get to town and the beach!
Its a 3 minute dawdle to Four Mile Beach (voted one of the to ten beaches in Australia by Trip Advisor) and the same distance to Macrossan Street (the High Street) and centre of Port Douglas (with shops, bars and restaurants).
You will have your own room with king size bed that consists of two mattresses attached together - so having a seamless top surface and a separate base. Ideal for couples who don't want to disturb the other one!. There is a small but adequate newly refurbished modern bathroom (shower, sink and toilet). The room leads out to a courtyard where there are a couple of armchairs and a coffee table where you can relax and soak up the tropical atmosphere. There is also your own small fridge, a microwave and a kettle in your room so you can store your own food and have a tea or coffee or heat up any food. The kitchen upstairs is available for you if you fancy cooking. This is not a guest area as such, as I also use the kitchen, so just to bear this in mind (before planning your 14 course dinner).
Being the closest point to the Barrier Reef there are many dive operations for those who want to dive. If you wish to ask me about any recommendations I would be pleased to help. All tours can pick you up from outside - best location to be picked up from is Peppers Beach Resort. The Marina for the boats to The Barrier Reef is only 5 minutes walk away.
It is a 10 minute drive to the Mossman Gorge - the start of the Daintree Rainforest, one of the oldest forests in the world and 1.5 hrs drive to Cape Tribulation, . There are a host of activities for people wanting to experience adventure on land and off land!
I am easy going and have lived and backpacked all around the world with a wide variety of room mates. I have lived in 8 countries in 10 years and have backpacked throughout Asia, India, Australia and Central America. It has been a great way of meeting a variety of people from different cultures and countries.
I am very easygoing, though draw the line at graffiti practice on the walls or added diced carrot stucco wall effect from the alcooholic overindulgence from the night before!
If you are arriving before 10am then I ask that you book from the day before. I have had occasions where if people are arriving early I cannot book the room out the night before.
I Look forward to meeting you!
We had a lovely comfortable overnight stay at Rosie's. You cannot beat this location near the main beach and main street.
Great location and convenience to Main Street, beaches and Marina where boats leave for fishing and snorkel/scuba trips. Nice, quiet room with nice bathroom and porch. Black out shades were terrific. Rosie was easy going and very helpful and accommodating, offering to pick up food if desired. Very friendly.

Rosie's is in a great location, a walk to town and a walk to the beach. The air conditioning and fan were excellent and well needed. It's a pity the house wifi wasn't working. There is free wifi in town near the Target shop if you need to connect. Otherwise there is an Internet cafe and a few bars/cafes with wifi.
place is superb=2 mins walk from the shopping centre/restaurant/pubs+5 mins from the beach + secured area + clean & modern
an A-W-E-S-O-M-E host=gracious+ attentive + polite + immaculate woman
The location is perfect, as it really is minutes away from the small town. We appreciated the use of the washing machine, especially after a day of snorkeling or venturing into the Daintree. The wireless wasn't working for us, however, and be warned that signal is hard to catch in Port Douglas in general! The A/C and fans and all lights were working properly, and we did not use the outdoor pool or outdoor seating area for fear of mosquitos...
Our stay was brief but enjoyable and it was great to be close to the "action" of Port Douglas. We only saw Rosie briefly but she was helpful and welcoming when we crossed paths. The wireless didn't work for us but there is a nearby cafe that can serve that purpose. We found the room small but comfortable, and definitely private.
