It's quite literally the closest you are going to get to town and the beach!
Its a 3 minute dawdle to Four Mile Beach (voted one of the to ten beaches in Australia by Trip Advisor) and the same distance to Macrossan Street (the High Street) and centre of Port Douglas (with shops, bars and restaurants).
You will have your own room with king size bed that consists of two mattresses attached together - so having a seamless top surface and a separate base. Ideal for couples who don't want to disturb the other one!. There is a small but adequate newly refurbished modern bathroom (shower, sink and toilet). The room leads out to a courtyard where there are a couple of armchairs and a coffee table where you can relax and soak up the tropical atmosphere. There is also your own small fridge, a microwave and a kettle in your room so you can store your own food and have a tea or coffee or heat up any food. The kitchen upstairs is available for you if you fancy cooking. This is not a guest area as such, as I also use the kitchen, so just to bear this in mind (before planning your 14 course dinner).
Being the closest point to the Barrier Reef there are many dive operations for those who want to dive. If you wish to ask me about any recommendations I would be pleased to help. All tours can pick you up from outside - best location to be picked up from is Peppers Beach Resort. The Marina for the boats to The Barrier Reef is only 5 minutes walk away.
It is a 10 minute drive to the Mossman Gorge - the start of the Daintree Rainforest, one of the oldest forests in the world and 1.5 hrs drive to Cape Tribulation, . There are a host of activities for people wanting to experience adventure on land and off land!
I am easy going and have lived and backpacked all around the world with a wide variety of room mates. I have lived in 8 countries in 10 years and have backpacked throughout Asia, India, Australia and Central America. It has been a great way of meeting a variety of people from different cultures and countries.
I am very easygoing, though draw the line at graffiti practice on the walls or added diced carrot stucco wall effect from the alcooholic overindulgence from the night before!
If you are arriving before 10am then I ask that you book from the day before. I have had occasions where if people are arriving early I cannot book the room out the night before.
I Look forward to meeting you!

My friend and I had a great time staying in Port Douglas with Rosie as our host! Her space is really nice and private and makes you feel as if you are at a hotel. Big bed, private bathroom (with some amenities in case you forgot an essential... Luckily I pack way too much so they weren't needed, but it was a really nice touch). Clean, friendly, private and well air conditioned! The bed was big, and the sheets were unbelievable!
It is a stroll away from town, perfect place to start your Port Douglas adventure :)
I had a very pleasant stay at Rosie's. The place was clean and cosy and I particularly liked the little verandah for an evening read. Highly recommended!
Rosie's ground floor en suite bedroom with screened patio doors to a little garden contains everything we needed, most important of which is a spacious comfortable bed and dark curtains to keep the sunrise from waken us. We also appreciated the fridge and kettle provided to store food for lunchtime picnics and cups of tea whenever we fancied it. Rosie happily let us use her kitchen to make breakfast and prepare lunches. The central location in gorgeous Port Douglas meant that walking into town was very easy and I loved to be able to have a cooling relaxing swim at the end of a hot sticky day. Nearby we loved the beautiful Mossman Gorge visited early in the morning as well as the Daintree National Park and a memorable snorkelling boat trip to see the outer Great Barrier Reef. Would have liked a week instead of just 3 days! Thanks Rosie!
Rosie was very accomadating and had a perfect room, bathroom and kitchen! Easy walk to the beach and into town! Rosie was also very informative and gave excellent tips on where to go and what is best to do and see. Highly recommend staying at her lovely place in sunny port Douglas !
Terrific location - close to the beach, restaurants, shopping and easy pick up for the tours. Very easy place to stay at!
A fantastic place to stay, in a small Queensland town full of character and interesting things to do. The small pool was a delightful place to relax in the afternoon...after one activity, and before the next. Rosie had everything set up for her guests' comfort. Highly recommended.
