  • Arriving at Casa Brava laws a wonderful experience. We were staying in the studio but had the opportunity to look around the entire property before the other guests arrived. It was absolutely stunning. We had a great stay in our unit and you couldn't even tell you were part of a larger house. Being able to drink the water in the house was a huge convenience. Felipe was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend staying in Casa Brava, however next time I will stay in the main house with its amazing pool and patio areas.

  • This was a perfect little place for two to stay in the beautiful town of Sayulita. Exquisite modern architecture with stunning views and comfortable accommodations. Dale provided very comprehensive information, including favorite restaurants and destinations and nearby hospitals, which was very helpful. There was a nice bottle of tequila waiting for us upon arrival, which was very thoughtful and a great start to our trip! It's on the top of a big hill so bring your hiking legs or rent a golf cart. The view and the breeze are worth the climb.

It would have been nice if there were more hooks to hang towels and wet swimsuits, etc. This is, after all, a beach vacation destination. The hot water in the shower was very inconsistent so we took a couple of cold showers.

I don't think I would have any other complaints, except that part of the welcome packet / house manual is very misleading. It lead me to believe that the groundskeeper would be very accessible and that his wife would change our towels every other day and come in as "housekeeping." It said we could even ask her to do our laundry or make us a meal, and even told us the suggested tip amount. The packet made me feel like we would be taken care of to the point that I felt compelled to bring a gift, which the groundskeeper accepted without hesitation or even thanks. However, we did not once see the groundskeeper or his wife during our stay except for check in / out. There was absolutely no housekeeping, and no one replaced our towels. There were only 2 bath towels and 2 beach towels so we tried to call for more, but could never reach the groundskeeper. We ended up reusing our damp sandy towels every day.

I don't expect Airbnb to provide housekeeping or towel service. If I hadn't read the welcome packet, I would have packed my own extra towels. If they hadn't set us up to expect to feel so well taken care of, we would have been very happy with taking care of ourselves. Instead, we felt confused and mislead. My guess is that the welcome packet only applies to the main house and not the studio unit, but this isn't made explicit.

That said, I would stay here again. I'll just pack extra towels next time.

  • The loft and Sayulita were great. Due to a flight cancelations we arrived a day late and Dale offered us a nights credit for a future stay. Rent a golf cart and enjoy. We wish we could of stayed longer!

  • Casa Brava is simply stunning. We had a beautiful time there. High atop a hill overlooking Sayulita (and therefore quiet and peaceful) and the ocean (and distant whales), this place is so comfortable, so clean, so welcoming.

The attention to detail to provide an enjoyable and comfortable stay at Casa Brava is quite obvious - from both Dale the owner and Felipe the caretaker. Everything screams quality. Immaculate accommodation, extremely comfortable bed, fresh linens and towels, a very well put together guest book with all contact info, local sights, restaurant recommendations, tips, and an immense DVD collection (should one regretfully tire of looking out to sea or reading from the book collection :)) Dale was so responsive and caring in his correspondence both before and during our stay, ensuring that we were comfortable and happy there. Amazing service. Felipe the caretaker is a very dear man who warmly welcomed us, showed us around, gifted us with a bottle of Tequila (thank you Dale!!), and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.

The vibe is indeed very very special at Casa Brava - a special place with special people. We will most definitely stay when we are next in Sayulita. Highly recommended.

    Thank you Dale! Gracias Felipe!

    Nos vemos.

  • Casa Brava is an architectural beauty, designed with stunning views and attention to detail. My wife and I spent a week in the loft and found it beautiful, relaxing and quiet. Felipe, the groundskeeper, was very attentive and took good care of us. We were lucky enough to be there at the same time as Dale and he was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond - we can't thank him enough for his help and generosity! We can't imagine a more beautiful home to explore Sayulita from and we plan to come back one day!

  • Beautiful house with a great view of Sayulita. Very much enjoyed our stay. Felipe (the right hand man at the property) was very helpful in every way.

  • Had a wedding in the area, but wanted to stay in Sayulita for a few days with my fiancé. Dale's place was spectacular and a perfect getaway to rest and relax for a few days. The views from the hill are great, the house caretaker, Felipe, is super friendly and helpful in setting you up for a great stay, and the house itself is one of the nicest in town in terms of design and build quality. It's about a 10 minute walk from the beach (and the hill to the house is very steep), but nice to be out of the town for quieter nights. Overall highly recommend this studio for a getaway in Sayulita, which is a fun little town.

  • This was not only a beautiful home to stay at, but the service was great - groundskeeper Felipe and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great patio with a view down to the ocean.

If you have a bigger group and can afford it - I would suggest the top floor suite, we took a peek and it's really nice. Panoramic views of Sayulita.

Dale was attentitive and professional. A nice experience for us all together!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Casa Brava for 4 nights and it was WONDERFUL. There was a nice bottle of tequila and flowers in vases waiting for us. The view can't be beat and the condo is sleek and stylish. I would absolutely recommend this condo to anyone looking to go relax and have fun in Mexico. Sayulita is relaxed, inexpensive, and beautiful. I'm definitely planning to go back and Casa Brava would be my first choice of places to stay. We also really enjoyed the hike up the hill a couple times a day. It's worth the view and the mini-work out!
