My husband and I had a great stay in Chris' apartment. It was in an excellent location in Chelsea - so easy to get on the Metro and lots of great eating/drinking places around.
The apartment is an older style but decorated in a really eclectic way. It was clean, tidy and had everything to make our stay comfortable and convenient. We really liked sharing the apartment with our friend visiting the US from Australia.
Chris's place in Chelsea Manhattan. Was extremely easy to use and perfect for the business traveller. He was a very easy host...
This place was so great to stay for four nights especially during the holiday season! I really like the location, which was very close to chelsea market and other hot places. I also really liked the host, Chris, he gave us clear and kind guidelines of using utilities and other useful information. I stayed with my friend, we both really love the atmosphere of the apartment because we felt like we were at our place, very warm, comfortable, and relaxing. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the living room was very warm enough to take a sincere rest. The only thing i didn't like was the room was kind of not really protected from the noise outside in night time. Overall, I am really satisfied with the place as every aspect, and I would like to stay there if I visit NYC again! I appreciate to Chris and Airbnb.
Chris was a wonderful host!
He was very responsive and helpful. I could sense his friendliness even just through phone text messages!
Appreciated it very much that he left the keys for easy pick-up even though I arrived at 3am in the morning.
The apartment is CONVENIENTLY LOCATED - right by Chelsea Market, next to the beautiful Highline, and steps away from subway.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a place in Chelsea/Meatpacking area!
Chris was an excellent host! Every part of the stay was extremely streamlined. Room is in an excellent location - close to a well connected subway and many stores. Room and the apartment were very clean.
Apartment is in a walk up building - not too many stairs though, and was an easy walk.
All together a wonderful experience and I thank Chris for his hospitality.
Chris' apartment was as described here, and worked out well for me recent trip to New York City. Chris responded to all of my questions and has a great system for checking in and out that work seamlessly. The apartment was clean and comfortable as well. I am definitely putting this location on my list of airbnb's to look into next time I visit the Big Apple!
I had absolutely no problems with Chris's place. It's location is superb with relation to public transportation, it was easy to get the keys and get in, and the place was clean and spacious. Would stay here again!
Chris flat is very very well located, just 100 m.from subway station, close to Chelsea market, high line and pears. By foot we can easily walk towards Greenwich Village and Washington park ... The street side room is very noisy but we only stayed for sleeping. It is large enough and well equipped, the flat as well. In our opinion the quality/cost ratio of the apartment is interesting.
The apartment was well-kept and clean, with all the amenities you'd need (silverware, fridge, towels, wifi, etc.)
Stayed there for 7 nights. Overall is fine. of course there are some good and bad about that place based on my fair comment.
1. Location - close to subway in downtown areas, save the time to travel around, many restaurants, coffee shops around.
1. Noisy - there are 2 rooms in that apartment, the front room faces to the street, quite noisy day and night, also the small air conditioner in the room is noisy. Will be better if you stay at the bed room in the back
2. Furniture and fixtures - The apartment is OK, the mattress is bit cheap, thin and not comfortable. There's a TV, but no TV reception. if you want to watch TV at night, sorry no TV there. The kitchen is fine, good for cooking, just a fry pan is junk, not good for cooking.
Overall, if you want to stay at a good location in downtown area, this is a good choice, compare with the hotels around this areas, it is much expensive.
If you wish to stay at a nice place, with comfortable room without walking through the stair, it won't satisfy you.
