About this listing
This neighborhood is perfect for Portland visitors!
The bus stops across the street and arrives downtown in 20 minutes.
We are a block away from Alberta Street with AMAZING coffee shops, bakeries, famous restaurants, fire pit bars, shops, etc.
The room is quite large with a Memory Foam Queen Bed, walk-in closet, and 37" Flatscreen TV.
5 bedroom 2 bath house with front porch, washer/dryer, high-speed WiFi, Shared Kitchen and lots of light and shared common areas.
This is a shared housing environment. There will be 4 other guests living in the home.
This is not a Bed and Breakfast, but a regular home that I rent rooms to short term guests. The house has a funky, rustic laid-back Portland style environment. The neighborhood is great and everyone loves the house, and it is a FIXER house. The house is a very casual environment and has not had interior decorating etc.
I keep the home a quiet and welcoming environment and am a knowledgeable host. I am open to spending time and developing relationships with my guests.
I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to Portland!
The house is a relaxed, quiet environment. There is no TV or music in the common areas. It is important to be quiet opening and closing doors, walking around etc.
10pm-10am quiet hours. There are two rooms on the main floor and basement that can hear a lot since there is not a lot of insulation.
Washing your dishes and cleaning counters after use is the only other important rule of the house. Otherwise it is a very laid-back household.
Thank you for your consideration!
Teresa was very nice and helpful! The house was in such a convenient location for getting into downtown by bus and it's right next to Alberta street which was awesome. Thanks for letting us stay :)
We had a lovely time staying at this place. It was clean and friendly. The communication with the host was easy.
Teresa made us feel most welcome the moment we stepped into her craftsman home. Our room and shared bathroom was cheerful, comfy and quiet. The bed and pillows were wonderful and in an alcove at one end of a large room. That made for a wonderful morning with the large window letting lovely light into the room without shining on us. This is a wonderful neighborhood with great walking and a lot of lively activity a short walk away.
You were a fine hostess, making me feel welcome right off. That we hardly ever saw each other after that had to do with my busy schedule. The only disappointments I felt had to do with the shared bathroom, and with the description of the room as large and comfy (and charging top price for it) when I found it average in size. Your neighborhood is fabulous and you’re well situated –I enjoyed myself immensely so the above caveats didn’t detract from a great stay.
This being my first air bnb experience, I have little to compare it do. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, all in all it was a good experience.
We were very pleased to be able to book this site last minute (the night before) as our travel plans had evolved. Teresa was quick in her correspondences with us, and available at our arrival for a brief tour. The private room is very spacious, great light and big windows, very comfortable bed. The remainder of the house has a relaxed feel. The other housemates were pleasant in our short interactions with them. The best aspect of this venue is it's location: amazing restaurants, bars, cafes and art galleries/shops in short walking distance (both Alberta Arts area, as well as the Mississippi district).
Teresa's house has a great location, just one block away from the Alberta street. I had good coffee and brunch every day when I stayed there. The room is clean and comfortable. I really recommend you stay with Teresa in Portland!

About the Host, Teresa
I am very mellow but also friendly and outgoing. I like to develop relationships with people of all walks of life. I keep busy but also like to make time to get to know house mates. I have traveled in India, Mexico, Thailand, Canada, and the US. I have lived in Portland and this neighborhood for a long time and have many great suggestions.
