For price and performance, you will not get a better unit anywhere in Chicago, I assure you.

We are a very easy going couple and we will do our best to make you happy but that does not mean we will be a concierge service to you or 24 hour complaint line :) If you require that, we kindly request you do not book with us. We have lives outside of BNB where we each work a job and also have family and friends.
Also keep in mine, this is a big city, things can be loud in the city, and you are sharing a unit with others. If you cannot follow the rules or deal with some city noise / apartment noise and are a light sleeper, we suggest ear plugs or a hotel (though a hotel still has noise).
Special Note : when Spring time comes, there are some temperature increases in April and early May that might increase over 80 degrees, which means the building takes its time to turn on the AC, so while we have AC year round, there are some days that experience with the conversion from Winter to Spring and the turning on of AC which means some hot days in the apartment. We cannot control this unfortunately, it's just how it works with certain buildings in the big city hence why our prices are lower for this property.
Unlike many hosts, we will befriend you, allow you to befriend us on social networks, email, and professional networks, chat networks before the trip so we can make arrangements for your arrival. So feel free to book with confidence.
REQUIREMENT : YOU NEED VALID IDENTIFICATION AND PORTABLE PHONE DEVICE TO BOOK WITH US:

We also need to be able to contact you to relay certain informations to you. We work full time jobs and also have lives outside of BNB and we require that we can contact you in order to make things work. We are dependable but we also require you to be as well.

8. Do not drink anything that is considered LIQUORE, We are not a liquor store, bring your own. If you feel the need to ask, we might be able to grant a drink or two as a courtesy. Excessive drinking or doing anything shaddy in the bar area will get you asked to leave.

Jesika and her nephew were great hosts, and their apartment was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, located in a fun neighborhood, very near the Red Line (1-2 minute walk), and quite clean. Maybe the best selling point: the bedroom features a walk-out patio with an AMAZING view of the downtown skyline.
This was our first time using a "private room" through Airbnb, and we were initially hesitant about sharing space knowing that we'd need to sleep well during our conference stay. This turned out to be a great decision, as our hosts were very accommodating of our needs. Would recommend highly to those seeking a near-hotel experience without the cost.
Matt, than you for the great honest review and the positive vibes. You are definitely welcome back here any time and you are right that the place is awesome. The walk out patio is definitely nice to have when you need to just unwind and gather the views. You are definitely right about the location as well as its close to everything and for the cost , its definitely WORTH it :) We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay in the city.
Jessica was very kind and helpful. We felt very welcome and had a fantastic stay. There are great bars and restaurants in Division Street and around the corner you may find a bikesharing station which is really convenient.
The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the wonderful skyline view. Thanks for the stay!
This was the perfect place for my weekend trip to Chicago. I was able to park my car for free a few blocks away and use the train to get around. Though I was not at the apartment very much, I thought the room was nice and perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. I really enjoyed the view of the skyline from the balcony. The neighborhood seemed pretty safe and had stores and restaurants all within a very short walk. I would definitely recommend this room to anybody who wants a great value in a prime location. Thanks for making my first Airbnb experience a very positive one!
Mike we are glad to hear that you enjoyed our stay here. You are very right that this area has many unzoned free street parking spots which helps if you are driving in. You are also right that this is a prime location for night life and restaurants. You are always welcome back !
This was my first ever AirBnB experience, and it was perfect. The hosts were kind enough to stay up and meet me even though flight was delayed, and provided loads of information which made a big difference to the stay. The bed and facilities were very comfortable - most nights I was out, but also able to work in the apartment, and nearby plenty of good places to eat. Very easy to walk into town, and the area safe and clean. Highly recommend this place, and any others hosted by Jesika & B, who know what they are doing (plus other folk around the apartment complex helpful and friendly).
Jesika was a very nice person very friendly, the place was just like the postings, I felt comfortable in the neighbourhood and it was very convenient.
Laurie, we are glad and happy that you enjoyed your stay here in Chicago. You are right that the neighborhood and place is very convenient. Seems like the information we sent via Airbnb to a couple guests didn't get to their emails. We will also attempt to call Airbnb to write you a review since we were not notified that you actually gave us one till now! oops! We are sorry that you didn't receive that email/message, but we are so happy that you enjoyed your stay nonetheless. You are always welcome back! You were extremely friendly and communicative and we are glad you booked with us.
First off, Jessika was very communicative and helpful getting me checked in. I never met the hosts but their nephew who lives in the apartment let me in and gave me the run down of the place.
Pros:very easy going guy to share an apartment with. Bed was comfy and clean. Extra blanket wasn't clean smelling but it was warm most nights and I didn't really need it. Location was great, 6 minutes to the train and plenty of food and bar options nearby. Loved having a little balcony and the AC worked fine on the 1 day I wanted it.
Cons: I didn't know ahead of time there was a full time occupant other than the owner living here. He was a nice guy but the walls were thin and so I occasionally heard noise late at night. The other downside of this (often the case on air bnb) the apartment was very lived in. Dishes not very clean in cupboards and bathroom not as clean as it could be. Dishwasher worked but tipped out of the wall and made me nervous to use (again not a big deal as I can hand wash a dish or two )
All in all a fine time for a week while working and not hanging around all day, a little different than expected but I'm fine with how it turned out.
We are glad you enjoyed your time in Chicago. We have fixed the Netflix issue and the dishwasher (thanks for letting us know). Glad you enjoyed the neighborhood as well and the view, you are definitely right about all those points.
Nonetheless, you might be more suitable for a hotel as if you were looking for a newer upgraded place (which typically cost more) and if you are looking for perfection because most places on Airbnb are like that (as you mentioned as they are homes not hotels) But you are right that the most important parts, such as your bed being comfy and clean, the place being easy going are right on the dot. This is a shared living space, with a PRIVATE bedroom. If you wanted an ENTIRE place, you should have looked for ENTIRE Places ;) They are more expensive than the private room with shared living spaces typically so we can deduce that you intended on booking an Entire place but some how a shared place came up. Chalk it up to experience with Airbnb :) . You shouldn't assume anything without reading the entire listing or ask questions :) If you intend on getting an Entire place, but go for the Private Room listings you will be disappointed unfortunately ;)
Jess was awesome: really nice, welcoming and helpful. The flat is great, location is ideal and it is just as advertised. Really great option to stay in Chicago . The trainline runs beside the building but even with the window open I didn't find the noise an issue. Neighbours in the building are very quiet and there are plenty of places to get food if you find yourself hungry in the middle of the night. The best recommendation I can give is not only that Jess was a great host but that I would definately stay again here.
Maurice, we are glad that you enjoyed your stay here. You are right that the place is ideal and is a great location. The place sits right in Old Town where you can grab lots of good bites and is near major transportation. You are right that we give out the recommendations to people and we are glad you enjoyed them and enjoyed the stay!

About the Host, Jesika
We love living in Chicago, as we have lived here all our lives and believe that it is the best city on earth. We have several places here in Chicago, some in the near northside, some in the loop and downtown, and some near McCormick place. All the places have one thing in common, and that is our ability to cater to the needs of our guests since they are all in close proximity to each other. We both work in downtown, have jobs during the day, and live the city life by night. We love to provide guidance to anyone coming into Chicago!
We have also traveled to destination such as Jamaica, Spain and Greece, Canada, Mexico, and every where that has some great culture. We intend on using Airbnb ourselves to go to Italy and some other locations in the next couple of months. We have utilized Airbnb for our stays in other states as well with great success as well recently.
NOTE: We are not a concierge service, we do not cook for you or provide you continental breakfasts. If you are looking for that, seek a hotel, these are homes and we have lives outside of Airbnb. This is a funny site you can refer to if you want to know who we will host and who we will not host.
Who we wish to not host : YOU [TUBE](dot)COM/watch?v=st21dIMaGMs
Our life motto is : One Door Closes Another One Opens (we love to meet new people)
We love to network, and are truely business savvy individuals, work with non-profits and charities through our business and we are truely professional. We will be a great host to you and/or your travel companion/stay companion. If you have any questions about Chicago or anything at all, feel free to contact us. We love to establish communication because as we all know, communication is key to success in anything, Including Travel! We will be your friends and your family in Chicago, though we might not get to experience the town as you might or have time that to go with you or be there to experience your adventures, we always love to hear about great/bad experiences so we can always help our future guests as we consider everyone equal and we want EVERYONE to experience the great parts of Chicago!
WE LIKE THE BOOK THE FOLLOWING GUESTS :
We expect all guests to treat our places like a home, not like a hotel. People need to be cleanly, throw our their own garbage, clean after their cooking, and respect our home.
All who come with a positive attitude and respect for our home; and we affirm that nationality, race, age, religion and sexual orientation are no issue. We have booked over 1500 guests over the past couple years and we have never turned anyone away or cancelled on anyone.
Things that we like to do includes
1. Go to concerts, classic rock, rock, dubstep, alternative, anything that is good!
2. We love to eat, and eat out. We know where the great places in Chicago are, so def. ask
3. We love to make new friends and learn about new cultures.
4. We know where all the nightlife spots are and where all the day tourism spots are so definitely ask if you need some recommendations
5. We are both within 5 minutes of Chicago 99 percent of the time. We are within 15 minutes in response on the phone, email, text, Facebook, etc ;) If we are not, we have at least 4 friends and family that well trained for all property management and checkin / checkout process that can assist us.
6. We are down to earth, we make mistakes just like everyone, we are not perfect, we are easy to make friends with :)
EXTRA STUFF WE CAN MAGICALLY DO SOMETIMES BELOW!! :)
++++potential free/password access to busy clubs/nightlife (that typically charge cover) in the Chicago before 12pm. ASK before hand which clubs you are interested in and we will get you the password for free entry :)
++++excellent knowledge and guidance for nightlife, restaurants, and places to visit in the city (we've been Chicagoans forever)
