The accommodation we're offering occupies an entire floor of our central grade II listed house and really is first rate - indeed boutique! The bedroom is at the back of the house, so is nice and quiet, and the bathroom has a great view of The Shard.
You will find the space particularly private.
Large sunny bedroom - beautifully furnished and well appointed. Breakfast facilities, small fridge, sound system and tv, hairdryer, ironing board. For your added security and peace of mind there is also a small safe. Original art work and crisp cotton bedding complete a very stylish space.
Breathtaking bathroom en suite - high pressure walk in shower, double ended bath, twin wash basins, under floor heating, original art and integrated speakers.
We have an additional bedroom with shower room en suite if required (supplement of £45 per person using this room)
You will have full access to your bedroom (which has facilities for breakfast) and en suite bathroom.
Interaction with Guests
Although we will respect your privacy, we're never far away if you need anything. We'll be delighted to share a cup of tea or glass of wine should the opportunity arise.
The house is on a busy, well lit, main road. Although the immediate area is not particularly fashionable, we're right in the middle of the curve of the Thames and so are within easy walking distance to many famous landmarks and attractions - Tower Bridge, Borough Market, The Tate Modern and National Theatre to name but a few.
Being in zone 1, the transport links are excellent. We're one minute from a very well serviced bus stop with direct buses to the West End (10 minutes), the City and more. Elephant & Castle underground station is a seven minute walk as is the mainline train station. Our preferred way of getting around is via Santander Cycle Hire aka 'Boris Bikes'. There's a docking station 2 minutes away on New Kent Road - uber-convenient (particularly on a nice day) and great fun too.
Other Things to Note
Important:- we request that anyone enquiring about the accommodation has an informative and fully verified Airbnb profile. This is an integral part of the Airbnb experience and we are much more likely to accept your booking if your profile is transparent and open.
As you might expect, there is no smoking in the house - fine in the front garden.
Please do not bring hot take-aways or any hot food into the house (can make the house smell).
Please be considerate regarding noise, particularly when entering the house late at night.
Only registered guests are allowed in the house.
Please ensure that all members of your party have a copy of the itinerary and are familiar with the house manual.
We are based in central London and have lived here all our adult lives. We know the city well and love helping visitors to the city to get the best out of it. Ongoing improvements to homes in London and Deal keep us busy, as does a fun social life and three adorable chihuahuas.
We both trained in hotel management (quite a few years ago now) so have a good understanding of the hospitality business. We truly want our guests to have the best holiday/mini break experience possible - we've met some super people and are constantly looking for ways to further improve.
