Interaction with Guests
We like to give our guests their privacy but are available to visit with our guests and share stories about travels and interests with one another if they want and we are available to assist or recommend places to go or where to eat.
We love being by the water and having neighbors that don't fence off their properties which only gives one a sense of greater expansion as if we have more acreage. The neighborhood is quiet with large lots up to an acre and the area was once a plantation called Paradise Oaks so as one looks around the neighborhood one can see these oaks scattered around the neighboring yards. The neighbors are friendly but keep to themselves unless one needed assistance....a quiet place to live and visit.
Breaux Bridge is a small town so downtown is a lovely 1/2 mile walk away. Most guests have a car to get themselves around the area to get to local music, restaurants and other tours and activities.

We offer a Continental Breakfast which includes Coffee, tea, milk, juice, filtered water, granola or muffins and fruit.
We now have a convection oven in the cottage for cooking or warming up leftovers.
Our newest addition is a wonderful outdoor shower.
No smoking in the cottage. No pets.
This is located in a quiet neighborhood setting, so please no loud voices or music late at night.

Washer and Dryer available upon request.
All areas of the property are available for your enjoyment including swimming pool the hammock and furniture by the bayou's edge. No glass containers in the pool area and, for safety's sake, please do not swim alone.
Linni was the best host ever. She did everything to allow us to feel at home : homemade muffins, flowers, fresh fruits, warm welcome...
The room is much more beautiful than shown on pictures and extremely clean. The pool is incredible and Linni's garden is a piece of art.
Thank you for everything Linni.
From the minute I got to the Hideaway, I felt welcome and relaxed. The cottage is delightful and has all the amenities needed plus lots of excellent information for eating, entertainment, and sightseeing. Linni is absolutely wonderful. We had several great talks in the short time I was there. The saltwater pool is also amazing as is the property. The landscaping, the bayou in the backyard, and Linni and Trent's graciousness in sharing their space all make this a wonderful getaway! I'll be back again, hopefully for a bit longer.
Merci à vous deux pour votre accueil. Le logement est mignon et fonctionnel et fidèle à la description. Linny, vos gâteaux etaient super bons. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans le bayou!
Thanks for your welcome. The housing is cute, functional and faithful to the description. Linny, your cakes were so good. We had a pleasant stay in the bayou!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for 4 days and could not have been more pleased. The apartment is very comfortable. The mattress is high end, as are the linens; we slept well. There is plenty of room unpack your things and there are 2 dressers for clothing. Everything in the apartment is extremely clean and the furniture is placed so that it feels larger than it actually is. The owners, Linni and Trent are easy to communicate with and truly care about being good hosts. Linni knew that I loved plants and left me a large vase of blooming gingers. In addition, she left us milk, coffee, juice, fruit and home baked gluten free muffins for our mornings. Both are interesting and intelligent and we loved getting to know them. On the other hand, they respected our privacy and left us on our own most of the time. We would have been happy with just the apartment and the lovely hosts, but the pool and the gardens take this property completely over the top! First of all, the gardens are large and go all the way to the Bayou Teche behind the property (they provide kayaks to paddle down the Bayou). The gardens provide the perfect backdrop for the large saltwater lap pool. It is private and we had the whole thing to ourselves. Our favorite activity on our trip was swimming under the moon and stars. Rest assured that if you book this condo, you will not be disappointed!
Our time in Breaux Bridge was unforgettable. Linni and Trent's home is an oasis in South Louisiana. We kayaked on the Bayou Teche, spent a couple of afternoons lounging in the beautiful saltwater pool, and lay in their hammock next to the water to watch the stars and listen to the frogs. They both are adept at making you feel at home and giving tailored suggestions that will get you out and about in Breaux Bridge. We'll be back!
Absolutely charming and relaxing place - just great to get your mind off of everything. Linni and Trent are very welcoming and friendly. We had everything we needed and much more. Linni's gluten free muffins were an unexpected, delicious extra! Then there is the pool, the hammocks, the kayaks... Just go there!
