An excellent home base for area day trips. 1 ACRE on Bayou Teche is in the heart of Cajun/Zydeco music, food & culture. Great getaway for relaxation just 1/2 mile walk to downtown Breaux Bridge. 60 ft saltwater pool, 200 ft waterfront, fruit trees, herbs, flowers, 100 yr old live oaks & cypress trees. The private cozy studio is its own separate space w unique outdoor kitchen. Hammocks, pergola, & outdoor shower. DISCOUNTS weekly & monthly are applied automatically.

The space
Our private cozy studio in its separate building offers full privacy - size of a standard hotel room- in a beautiful setting. Cottage has easy access to the bayou on the other end of the property. It does have its own private side yard with BBQ charcoal grill next to the charming cajun style covered outdoor kitchen including hammock and chairs. Indoor shower plus Fabulous hot/cold water outdoor shower. A must after a swim. Enjoy all of the outside property amenities & pick fruit or herbs when available.

Guests have access to all outdoor spaces gardens, bayou, saltwater pool, outdoor shower and pergola.
Cottage has keypad entry. You’ll receive the code on day of arrival.

We love being by the water and having neighbors that don't fence off their properties which only gives one a sense of greater expansion as if we have more acreage. The neighborhood is quiet with large lots up to an acre and the area was once a plantation called Paradise Oaks so as one looks around the neighborhood one can see these oaks scattered throughout the neighboring yards. The neighbors are friendly but keep to themselves unless one needed assistance....a quiet place to live and visit.

I am a people person that also loves the great outdoors. Traveling, kayaking, sailing, swimming, Tai Chi, yoga, giving and receiving massages, and dancing are few of our favorite things to do.. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing our beautiful place on the Bayou Teche with travelers. T is a scientist and LA licensed massage therapist. I am an artist, healer and am a LA licensed massage therapist too. T and I just built a saltwater lap pool that is wonderful! We are pleased to share this lovely pool with our visitors as well as the use of our kayaks for short jaunts on the bayou. We have put a lot of time creating an outdoor sanctuary for all of us with swing, hammocks, pergola, fruit trees, outdoor shower, 4/100 yr old live oaks, back deck w orchids overlooking the bayou and flowers year round.
