Interaction with Guests

We love being by the water and having neighbors that don't fence off their properties which only gives one a sense of greater expansion as if we have more acreage. The neighborhood is quiet with large lots up to an acre and the area was once a plantation called Paradise Oaks so as one looks around the neighborhood one can see these oaks scattered around the neighboring yards. The neighbors are friendly but keep to themselves unless one needed assistance....a quiet place to live and visit.
Breaux Bridge is a small town so downtown is a lovely 1/2 mile walk away. Most guests have a car to get themselves around the area to get to local music, restaurants and other tours and activities.
Other Things to Note
We offer a Continental Breakfast which includes Coffee, tea, milk, juice, filtered water, granola or muffins and fruit.
We now have a convection oven in the cottage for cooking or warming up leftovers.
Our newest addition is a wonderful outdoor shower.
No smoking in the cottage. This is located in a quiet neighborhood setting, so please no loud voices or music late at night.
Kayaks are available for local use on the bayou on the property and not to be taken off the property elsewhere.
Washer and Dryer available upon request.
All areas of the property are available for your enjoyment including swimming pool the hammock and furniture by the bayou's edge. No glass containers in the pool area and, for safety's sake, please do not swim alone.
L and T were so welcoming. It was like staying with our own folks in a beautiful, comfy setting on the river. We got to swim and kayak, and they gave great recommendations for food, antiquing, and so much more. They also greeted us late at night - almost 10pm - with a bottle of champagne and strawberries for our anniversary.
Fresh flowers, including a Magnolia bloom. Wifi worked great, the Roku let us stream a movie, freshly baked muffins aligned to our dietary needs, and tons of information to learn about the best spots in the area. Incredible and we hope to be back.
Linni went out of her way to make us feel welcome but was also sensitive to our privacy needs. The list description was accurate and the place was exactly what we wanted. The neighborhood was quiet and safe.
Both Linni and her husband were very welcoming and helpful with entertainment suggestions for the area. The accommodations were very clean and inviting....and a great value.
The grounds of the property were amazing....peaceful, relaxing, beautiful. We borrowed a couple of their kayaks for an easy afternoon paddle down the bayou behind their house.
Great location ~ right on the bayou and an easy walk to town.
Would definitely stay here again. One of the best places we stayed on our road trip through the south.
This was our first airbnb and were very pleased. The cottage was clean, bright, had fresh flowers, nice linens etc. The breakfast muffins and fresh fruit were excellent - and good coffee in the room!
The grounds are beautiful, very inviting with lots of places to sit and enjoy the view. We did not use the lap pool but it did look inviting.
We really enjoyed staying at Linni & Trent's charming and comfortable cottage along the bayou. The beautiful surroundings, warm welcome and very useful information made this trip to the Cajun country quite unforgettable. We strongly the lap pool and outside shower overlooking the bayou :-) and a bit of zydeco at Whiskey River nearby. The nearby countryside really has a lot to offer!
What a lovely place! The cottage/studio was as described and the garden and pool area were simply beautiful and peacful. We stayed here as it was walking distance to the Crawfish festival and also allowed us a day to relax by the pool before heading to NYC. Right from the start of the booking when we had issues with transport Linni was extremely helpful and accommodating and happy to answer any questions.
Linni was at JazzFest in New Orleans for most of her stay but made sure she had a couple of friends looking after us on arrival and throughout. Everyone is so friendly in this part of the world. There was lovely fruit and scones on arrival and breakfast foods. She has a wealth of leaflets and information about the area in the cottage so you explore the area to it's full. The bed was very comfortable.
It was a pleasure to finally meet Linni on our departure morning and she was extremely accommodating to the very end.
Staying in Linni and Trent's cottage was our best-ever Airbnb. It is set in a natural paradise along the bayou; the cottage is lovingly decorated; the bed is completely comfortable; the bathroom is complete. Linni goes out of her way to make a guest feel welcome, including an array of fruit and breakfast treats. One could easily live a happy life in this little dwelling.
