P A R K I N G information:
During the day there is PLENTY of FREE Parking on the street. You don't need a permit or special pass. However, in the evening, or late night it can be difficult to find a spot near the house. You may have to park 1 or 2 blocks away. It is safe to walk from wherever you park to the house. On Thursdays and Fridays there is street cleaning from 10am to 12noon so you'll need to make sure you are parked on the correct side of the street on Thursdays and Fridays.
You have your own private entrance.
BBQ grill in the yard is available for your use.
Patio is for your enjoyment. We welcome your friends. Due to a Strict Legal Agreement with our neighbor, we ask that you do not block the driveway to unload your luggage. You can double-park on the Street and walk up the driveway.
Interaction with Guests
We are delighted to chat if you'd like. It's up to you! We enjoy meeting new people, and getting to know you, but if you'd rather keep to yourself, that's ok too. We want you to be comfortable.
We are usually out in the patio area with our dog in the afternoon for a little while, or sometimes we sit outside and have lunch.
This neighborhood is ECLECTIC to say the least. Within one square block, you can see million dollar Victorian homes, modern condominiums, and small apartment buildings. Residents range from artists, lawyers, to street vendors and bikers . Restaurants are organic, vegan, traditional Mexican and fast food. There's food for every budget and palette.
Many people in the neighborhood use public transportation. Walk 3 blocks to reach the buses that will take you to Downtown LA, Hollywood & Santa Monica. Six Major freeways are minutes away. However, this is LA - so a car rental is most convenient.
Other Things to Note
The bathroom is very small, and the toilet is right next to the sink. The bathroom sink is also tiny. The shower may feel a bit cramped, but it will make you clean if that's your goal! Please see photos so there are no surprises.
Most homes in the area have a shared driveway. Therefore, the driveway can NEVER be blocked. Not even for a quick 2 minutes. THERE IS A LEGAL AGREEMENT WITH OUR NEIGHBOR THAT CAN NEVER BE VIOLATED. Smoking is allowed in patio/yard area, not inside the trailer. We appreciate our guests respecting these two rules.
Lucy was a great host and we were made to feel welcome on our short stay in her cosy trailer. Believe everything you've read about The View From the Patio, it is stunning and we enjoyed an evening drink gawping at it before strolling round the corner to take in a Dodgers game. The perfect end to our California trip.
This little trailer was certainly cozy and was everything we could've hoped for. The view is beautiful. The neighborhood is peaceful. Lucy is a wonderful host. I wish we could've stayed longer!
We had a wonderful time staying in the cozy trailer. The view and patio were wonderful. The trailer clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is great. Close to park, restaurants and we could walk to Dodger Stadium (1 mile).
Our hosts were great. Everything was well organized and friendly.
I would like to stay here again.
The trailer is good.I am not spend very much time there, but when I came back the trailer at night,I have a lot private time, and the environment is good,I feel safe and quite.Lucy is a very nice person,I have a good time at La and the trailer.Thank you Lucy.
Our stay was great. We never got to meet Lucy, but she was very helpful, responsive and very active in making sure we had a pleasant stay. The view is breathtaking and the trailer is very clean. Be advised that the shower can be an exciting acrobatic exercise for people over 6 feet (and people over 6'5 may want to consider larger accommodations). But if you're not a giant this place is great.
Lucy was incredibly accommodating and was on hand via text in the days before when we were arranging to drop off our bags.
The trailer was brilliant and the view was incredible. The info pack Lucy left was really useful and the local area had loads of great stuff.
We left early to get off to Yosemite and miss the traffic but we had a great stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Lucy's little trailer! Perfect for a two-night stay in the city. Nice neighborhood, lots of great shops and food within walking distance and the view was perfect too! On-street parking was pretty plentiful during the day, but in the evening hours very hard to find and had to park a few blocks away--but we are used to that here in NYC. The trailer was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We were happy to meet Lucy the day before we left, she is a very kind and accommodating host.
I share this beautiful Old Edwardian home with my husband and two children. We are a family who love to travel and enjoy making guests feel comfortable and welcome. My background is Latin and my husband is Swiss so between us we speak 5 languages. I LOVE music and dancing and enjoying a glass of wine with friends. I cannot live without white rice! And I've spent the past six years trying to finish reading the classic "100 Years of Solitude".
