The pictures are not accurate as there is a different bed and frame. Tufted linen with an Heirloom mattress - the one's in the White House!!) 1 bath (extra bedroom that's empty as I've been moving the past few months) Very quiet and close to grocery (Whole Foods/Gelsons), Pharmacy, postal, laundry. Santa Monica Beach and boardwalk straight line 5 min walk up Ocean Park to Boardwalk.

The space

One of our great reviews from a guest:

"This is a great location. In a couple of blocks, you can walk to a supermarket, a dry cleaners, a coin operated laundry, a haircut place, a Bank of America ATM, a Starbucks and a McDonalds. Whole Foods is about 0.3 miles away. And it's about a mile's walk to the beach. Main Street with its shops and cafes is a couple of blocks closer.

The neighborhood feels safe and, while it's only a block from Lincoln Blvd, it is surprisingly quiet.

Lincoln Blvd is a major street that takes you to Venice Beach, Marina Del Ray and LAX to the South and to I-10 and the Pacific Coast Highway to the North.

The “Treehouse" is comfortable with 2 bedrooms with Queen beds. The Living Room is comfy and is set up for easy viewing of the large flat screen TV with Apple TV. The house also has WiFi.(URL HIDDEN) - KEN, (stayed in home 1 month+)

Amazing Furnished 2 bedroom 1 bath home. Includes Queen size beds (Both $2500) as sleep is key. Big garden windows, wireless internet, cable tv. Recently remodeled bathroom and bedroom with custom Texas limestone sink and serene colors for 2nd bedroom. Corner kitchen, garden corner windows in living area - kitchen, custom curtains from LA's famous fabric district, cherrywood hardwood floors and modern design interior in this bungalow built originally in 1952. The ultimate Santa Monica treehouse. 10 blocks from beach. Garden in front of home, window boxes in front facing street, Large windows in every room - all custom design black out curtains, central heat, and TV in room, charming and quaint, one of the best AirBnB has to offer. Walk to shops, laundry, foodmart, Famed Santa Monica Farmers Market, drycleaning, Nail salons, pharmacy and post office. 5 minute walk to beach, 10 minute walk to Santa Monica Pier Boardwalk.

The apartment was exactly as advertised. Very convenient location. Bed in the master bedroom was SUPER comfortable, while the one in the second, very tiny bedroom was a lot older and not quite as nice. Apartment really is on the second floor so definitely don't stay there if you can't climb a reasonably steep set of outdoor stairs.

We enjoyed our stay here. The "Treehouse" location is fabulous--a walk to Santa Monica Beach, and up on a hill with great sea breezes. And Ocean Park is a hopping place these days. The apartment was cozy. Because this is one of the most economical rentals in Santa Monica near the beach, the amenities are few (no cable TV, no kitchen or dining room table, no drip coffee maker, no iron or ironing board). That's a perfectly fine tradeoff for travelers on a budget. The hosts were out of town during our stay but tried their best to be available to us when we had questions.

Response from Roxane:
Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We love our treehouse and cater to ourselves as we cater to our guests. The location is for EVERYONE! Easy for restaurants, cleaning/drycleaning, postal, groceries and all. As times have changed we updated the home with Smart TV's in each room (with access to Netflix, HBO GO and most recently looking at Amazon Prime), in March we purchased a Nespresso ($300) VERY HIGH END coffee/espresso maker so our guests providing the cups at our expense so guests can enjoy a real cup of coffee or espresso, whatever they wish. The coffee table lifts up into a dining table so when seated on couch or bench people can dine around. I am unsure if this information was given to you, but I apologize if not. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and would love to host again.

My hosts always went the extra mile to make me feel at home in their cozy apartment in Santa Monica. That's why I extended my original stay there an additional two weeks. My kind hosts, Roxane and Derek even took me out for a delicious meal at The Galley on Main Street, which was a real treat. I'd still be there if they hadn't had a prior booking and will definitely return, given the opportunity.

Once again, AirBNB and it's selection of fine properties comes through! I enjoyed my stay at this cozy and well situated property so much, I extended my stay for double the time. The neighborhood is quiet and the location allows for immediate access to necessary shopping (food, clothes washing, restaurants, et al). I have a new business investment in Santa Monica and enjoy the work from tis location, as well as the proximity of the Ocean, less than a mile down Ocean Park Blvd.
