This cabin and property is a slice of heaven. Daphne, Daisy (the dog) and Rich were all very welcoming and provided ample privacy. The hot tub was hot and the star gazing was ample. It was so peaceful, we slept like a well-fed babies.
Daphne is quite welcoming - I arrived late and had to knock on the door for some info at the main house. The host family are all charming and very friendly, including the family Dog.
The property is rustic-adorable . Detached cabin. Trees abound and it's incredibly quiet out there. Not too far from the town of Mendocino - about a 10 minute drive once you know the road.
The space is on the small side, though this isn't a bad thing. Very clean and it's private - none of the windows face the main house allowing for everyone to have their own space.
The hot tub is delightful at night. So many stars to see out there when the sky is clear. Bring some flip-flops or sandals to make the walk easier.
Plenty of towels. There's a small micro and an electric teakettle and a small fridge.
The Cabin in the Redwoods was charming, quiet, and set in a beautiful location. We could not have asked for a more peaceful experience.
What a lovely, peaceful place. The property is gorgeous! Just the type of serene place we were looking for. The only slight bummer was the water in the hot tub was too cold for comfort so we didn't get to use that - we could have asked the hosts about it but didn't want to disturb them. Other than that it was wonderful! Thanks, Daphne!
Quirky cottage in the woods. Great walks around the property and we had fun using the swing in the garden.
Not a totally complete assessment as I was quickly passing through with a one-night stay, arrived late and left early. Lovely grounds, deer grazing nearby, quiet and meditative. I hadn't realized the only place to sit was the bed but only a momentary disappointment as I immediately fell asleep and slept soundly in the deep silence. Just what I needed. So so much better than the motel I stayed in the next night.
Daphne was very welcoming, and let us explore the property at our leisure. It was a great little getaway, just a short drive through the forest to the coast, but deep in the trees enough to be quiet and natural. The hot tub at night is wonderful :D
