Come and experience the magic of Mt Chirripo at Casa de Chirripo! Located high on a hillside in San Gerardo de Rivas, this home offers fantastic views of the Talamanca and Ventisqueros mountain ranges. Conveniently located near the entrance to Chirripo National park (where mountain climbers start their ascension to the top of the highest Mountain peak in Costa Rica) this unique location provides the perfect setting for outdoor enthusiasts, hikers, and bird watchers!

The space
Watch hummingbirds, parrots, toucanettes, and more fly past the balcony where they congregate every morning in the rainbow Eucalyptus trees foraging for breakfast. Spend the afternoon observing the clouds come through the valley below that converge with those spilling over the mountain tops- which eventually surround the cabin until evening when fireflies twinkle into the night. Enjoy clean mountain air, pristine spring fed water from the faucet, and nearby rivers at your disposal. Though surrounded by jungle, visitors enjoy the comfort of a temperate climate and amenities like hot water, a washing machine, and wifi!

Casa de Chirripo is a two bedroom house with a kitchen, living room, balcony, and chimney. We offer sattelite TV, WI-FI, and free parking. The surrounding area also offers a full spectrum of experiences to enjoy the mountains with hiking trails, river access, chocolate factory tours, health retreat centers, animal sanctuaries, natural hot springs, and a butterfly conservatory- all within an 8 minute drive!

While it is possible to arrive with a smaller car, we highly recommend a 4x4 vehicle as the mountain roads can be a bit rough/slippery at times.
