About this listing
This is a quaint garden level apartment in a beautiful home we call "Adam"in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Spokane. This 1911 home is on Spokane's Historic Register in the central South Hill neighborhood of Cannon Addition at 12th and Adams. You will love this space and this location!
This awesome little apartment has a separate entry, and huge windows looking out to the sweeping lawns and handsome tree-shaded homes in the neighborhood.
Our cozy airbnb space is in one of Spokane's best walkable, bikable, family-friendly neighborhoods. Everything you need is close at hand.
Within walking distance there are amenities too numerous to mention, including a great little coffee shop (The Rocket), an organic market (Huckleberry's), a regular grocery store (Rosauers), a top notch pizza place, even a hardware store! There are also several restaurants, parks and open space which we will happily guide you to!
"Adam" is only about 10 blocks and a 15-minute walk to downtown, and there is a bus line a block away. Easy access to arterials, but on a beautiful, quiet street that is preferred by walkers and bicyclists for getting up and down the South Hill.
Apartment has living room, bedroom, full kitchen, full bath (wonderful, deep cast iron tub w/shower), and easy access to laundry. There is one full (double) bed in the bedroom and a second full bed in the living area. So, two couples could sleep comfortably here, or a small family.
Wireless Internet access is available to our guests. There is a small flat-screen TV with a very limited selection of local channels. Sorry, but we are not really big TV people!
When we say full kitchen - we mean it! It's a tidy galley-style kitchen with a real stove & oven & whatever you need to prepare your own meals, including kitchen basics like spices, and condiments.
On the lawn, which is really large and lovely, there is a picnic table and gas grill for you, as well as a sweet swing on the front porch.
Easy and ample street parking is available as well as space to store your bikes or other large items. We also offer a large, secure conveniently located storage area just though a door in the back of the apartment if you need it.
This apartment is about 10 minutes from the airport. We'd be happy to pick you up for a fee if we can arrange it and you prefer not to rent a car.
We are pet-friendly, and will happily welcome your well-behaved creature for a fee if we can all feel comfortable about arrangements . Please contact me if you would like to spend your time in Spokane with your pet.
Guests have access to great big lawn & garden areas of 2 side-by-side historic buildings, as well as the picnic tables and front porch and its cool swing.
NO SMOKING on premises, including all property areas.
Please be sure to extinguish all candles before retiring or leaving the apartment.
This is a GREAT neighborhood and people love living here, so
please show respect to the fab community of peeps in the hood. Most of the folks you will see around are long-term residents of this groovy little
Rebecca is such a great host! She is available and helpful! The space is always clean and well put together.
Rebecca was an excellent host and her small apartment was the perfect base to explore Spokane from!
Rebecca gave excellent instructions on how to get to her home. She offered lots of suggestions for places to go, local restaurants, etc. We had a wonderful stay in this lovely home and quiet, serene neighbourhood.
This quaint apartment is a little gem! We were in Spokane during a heat wave and this basement apartment stayed cool and comfortable. The place is quite roomy with a living room, nicely equipped kitchen, small breakfast nook and a bedroom. Rebecca's artistic sensibility in the decor adds lots of personality. An extra bonus is a lovely backyard where we sat in the afternoon and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and cool afternoon breeze. Rebecca and neighbors were extremely helpful and quick to respond to all of our questions. Additionally, the neighborhood is beautiful and within walking distance to a wonderful market and bakery. I love Airbnb and have had great luck, but hands down, this was the best place yet!
Rebecca met me before checking in and ran me through the space before giving me the keys. She was very friendly and helpful, especially because I was in Spokane for a family emergency (I was in the area because a family member was hospitalized at the Sacred Heart Hospital) and she told me to call/text her if anything with the home went wrong. The place is very quaint, quiet, and homey. I really enjoyed the time I spent in there after my long days visiting the hospital. Everything was clean and well-stocked, and I enjoyed a nice cup of tea every night that was provided in the kitchen. Rebecca even provided quarters for the laundry and dryer that is shared with upstairs long-term tenants. The location is very convenient, parking is easy, there are two grocery stores very close by, and a cute coffeeshop (that I did not get a chance to visit but looked nice) a block away. I honestly have nothing bad to say about my experience staying at this listing. Sometimes, the space felt a bit cramped, but the bountiful amenities definitely make up for that. There is a binder of local information just like you would see when you stay at a hotel. It's all the professionalism of staying at a hotel without the inconvenience of hotel rooms.
This is the third or fourth time we've stayed here. Everything is laid out as described, and host is very accomodating.
Only good things to say. Adam house has become our retreat every time we are visiting or doing business in Spokane.
Continue to highly recommend to those who want someplace convenient and peaceful to crash for a couple days or a week.
Rebecca welcomed us into Spokane with warmth! She made sure everything was perfect in the apartment, and that we could contact her with any needs. It was a record breaking hot weekend for the beginning of June, but the apartment was naturally very cool and refreshing. It was extremely clean, and I feel that I would be on the picky side of rating this! It's spotless!! The bed is very comfy! Not too hard or too soft! It was wonderful to have access to the washing machine, as we had sweaty clothes, and we could take care of them right away! The very best thing, after being clean, was the front porch. We loved sitting out and enjoying the warm evenings in the quiet neighborhood. And the tub was a delight to soak in, after my big run! I would recommend staying here if anyone goes to Spokane...offers so much more than a typical hotel room. Our family of 4, loved it!
