About This Listing
A very charming, private room in the heart of Reykjavik’s city center. The room is located in a quiet, family street but has still all the advantages of being in the center of Reykjavik’s culture and night life. The house is 5 min. walk to the best restaurants, bars and the main shopping street, Laugarvegur. Besides being a quiet street in the centre of town, it is also located only 3 min. walking distance from BSÍ, the city’s main bus station. The Flybus from KEF airport stops at BSÍ so you can easily walk straight from the bus to your room without sore legs. BSÍ is also where most all sightseeing tours leave from. This is very convenient if you want to explore the country.
The room is one of four private rooms which have shared access to a bathroom, shower, kitchen and washing machine. The accommodation we are offering is more like a small homey guesthouse, with a private entrance and is separated from our apartment which is on the next floor.
The room has been newly renovated and has a brand new double bed (it can also be changed in to 2 single beds). The room is perfectly suited for one or two people.
The kitchen is fully applied with a stove, microwave, fridge and cooking appliances.
We also offer a bike-rental with brand new bikes for very little money.
From October to April we offer special winter prices, 25%-50% off, depending on the time and length of your stay. Please contact us for further information concerning the winter prices, if you are interested in booking a room in the winter time.
Check in at noon or after agreement
Price: $70 per night.

A lovely place to stay with everything you need. Our favourite from 3 weeks in iceland - great value for money!
I would like to thank Laufey for such an amazing staying there. I got an spacious, clean, new and really well-decorated room. Furthermore, it is quiet, with a separated entrance. The place also has a good location, it is really close to the main bus station and to downtown Reykjavik.
Spotlessly clean, charming and helpful hosts and couldn't have been more convenient both to the BSI bus terminal and to downtown Reykjavik. I loved the clean minimalist design and the artistic touches by Laufey's husband, who renovated the building. Laufey was flexible and accommodation and even allowed me to leave some luggage for a couple of days while I went hiking. I will definitely be back!
The host's husband was there to welcome us and show us the room. The place was very nice, exactly as described and a great value for the location in the city. The other tourists were also very nice and it was no problem sharing the kitchen and 2 bathrooms with the other guests. Room was very comfortable and the WIFI was great too. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Iceland!
The location is really close to the bus station It's very easy to find if u take bus from airport to BSI station. And the house is very close to the city center only 10 minus walk. The host Laufey and her husband are really nice. There are many details in the house I would like to mentioned. They has many books about Iceland and free maps that u can take. And they put the informations about famous restaurants on the wall. You can easy to find the addresses and open hours of those restaurants. Free coffee and tea. And if have any problems they will help you to figure out. For example, I had a two days tour. So I will left one day and came back. But I don't want to carry my huge luggage. They totally agree to left my luggage in the laundry room.
I will back to Iceland in one summer I think still want choose this one!
Laufey was fabulously accomodating by allowing us to check - in early, so we could park and deposit our luggage before exploring the city. Very responsive to our questions. Very clean, modern room.
Really great stay at Laufey's apartment! The rooms are spacious, clean and modern in design. The apartment is very close to BSI bus terminal, making it ideal for taking the Flybus and Reykjavik Excursions' tours. Laufey and her husband are very accommodating, receiving me late at night even though the bus schedule got delayed. They also gave me good advice on local restaurants, where I felt I had the most value-for-money meal in Reykjavik.
