A lovely spacious and comfortable apartment in a small, quiet square minutes away from everywhere - an absolutely perfect location!
Great restaurants nearby.
Unexpected basic groceries in apartment on arrival. Thanks to Francesca and Martina.
Martina's flat was perfect. Francesca, Martina's mum, met us and helped us check in. She was very helpful. The flat was very spacious, bright and comfortable and the location was excellent. Highly recommended!
Very welcoming - Martina's mother met us and walked us through the apartment, the recycling in the kitchen and showed us how everything worked.
All in all we had a good experience in the apartment, but the way it is set up at the moment makes it a better bet for just one couple, until such a time as they fix the problems with second bedroom and bathroom.
My wife, two adult children and I recently spent 5 nights at Attic with Grand Canal View. We passed through airport immigration much faster than expected, so I called Martina to alert her. No problem, she said. So, as we were notified in advance, her Mom, Francesca, graciously met us at the apartment, showed us the ins and outs and left us to our settling in. The apartment was as described and perfect for the four of us with plenty of individual space. The "starter" items left to eat and drink were a kind gift. The lift to the attic was nice to have, also.
The vaporetto from the airport to the apartment took about an hour and did not stop at the San Samuele stop, mere steps from the apartment, but the one just before Samuele. No worries; it was a short, easy 5 minute walk to the apartment. We really enjoyed the neighborhood, which was not as touristy as others we walked through. There were numerous choices for eating within a 5 minute walk and I found a wonderful little bar I could go to in the morning for an espresso and pick up fresh pastries for the still-slumbering troops. The inveterate shopper has many options within a block of your new home, too. Overall, it's a great apartment in a quiet location for sleeping and any amenities one might or must require. We don't normally stay at the same place again when returning to another city, but my wife and I agree that Attic with a Grand Canal View would certainly be an exception.
We recently spent five nights at Martina’s Venice flat and like most found the location perfect for discovering Venice by foot or by boat. Many points of interest are an easy walk from the apartment and the Vaporetto stop just out the front door and one on the other side of the canal a short walk away are both quite handy. We found the public boats great for getting to the outer islands and around to distant parts of the city, but they can be very crowded and it looked like a no fun place to tote luggage. Fortunately the water taxis will pick you up and drop you off in front of the house as well. We found the apartment a comfortable place to come back to and relax. It is minutes away from the areas that get crushed by tourists, yet far enough away to give you some peace from the relentless groups following a flag holder when you return to the neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to friends.
We enjoyed the apartment greatly. The location is excellent, ten minutes from the Piazza San Marco and closer still to the lovely Campo San Stefano and the Accademia bridge.
The apartment is comfortable, spacious, well-equipped - if a little battered perhaps. But we did not mind that at all. It has great charm.
Our luggage was lost by the airline en route and Martina's mother generously helped us retrieve it. She could not have been kinder. Access to and from the airport is easy because the front door is yards from the Vaporetto dock which the water taxis also use.
