  • My wife and I stayed at Steve's place for 5 nights in early July. We never personally met him, but we corresponded through e-mails and texts. Steve was ALWAYS prompt to reply. Steve does a wonderful job of leaving helpful tourist information on his airbnb page, and providing literature on activities throughout the Santa Barbara area.

Steve's place is in a quiet residential neighborhood that was attached to other units. We had our own parking space, and we were within walking distance to the Carpinteria Bluffs and the beach, and about 2 miles from downtown Carpinteria.

The place is clean and charming. We made use of his gourmet kitchen and pantry, and his wide selection of movies. We enjoyed his accommodations such as clean towers, clean bed sheets, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. His place truly feels like a home away from home, and it is definitely a place where we would like to return.

  • The place was exactly as described, and Steve was extremely helpful (and very accommodating about check-in and check out times!). The neighborhood was clean and nice, and very close to the Carpinteria bluffs. Steve had also left a bunch of information about trails and hikes close by as well as a detailed biking map of the area - all of which were much appreciated, as were the coffee and half and half also provided by Steve. We couldn't have asked for better in any way!

  • Steve's tastefully decorated townhouse is a perfect place from which to enjoy the coastal paradise in Carpinteria. This is what AirBnB is all about. Good quality, private accommodations made available to trusted guests. The "something extra" that makes Steve's place stand out is the homey and classy interior and the very good kitchen. Additionally, the bluffs near the seal mating grounds are within biking or walking distance, and this is a delightful beach access people miss if they stay in town. Beds are comfy and the area is quiet. Thanks a million, Steve!

  • Steve's place, a home in a residential area, was exactly like the description and exactly what we wanted: spacious for the two of us, convenient to downtown Carpinteria and Santa Barbara, uncluttered and comfortable - very good nights' sleep too. When street parking wasn't available, there was a very convenient dedicated parking space behind the house.

  • My wife and I truly enjoyed staying at Steve's townhouse. It was very clean and cozy. The bed was extremely comfy! Steve is very thoughtful and an excellent host. The place is walkable to the preserve, which is a beautiful hike. I would stay here again.

  • The apartment was very comfortable and in a nice neighborhood, located very close to the water and only a short drive to town. Came with all the amenities we could have wanted, especially the well equipped kitchen. All in all a very pleasant stay and a perfect place to get away for a weekend to unwind.

  • My son, his girlfriend and I really appreciated a clean, quiet place to stay near the beach in Carpinteria. I was most appreciative for the fresh half and half in the fridge, many kudos for that! Steve has put some really lovely architectural details into the place and it feels warm and homey. The art is well chosen and suited our creative sides perfectly. My favorite part was a 12 minute walk down to the beach just beyond Carp bluff preserve. Very few other folks, lots of birds and the ocean makes you forget your cares as you wander. Thanks for a great stay, not to mention a five minute drive to awesome Thai food at Siam Elephant or breakfast at Esaus. Yum!

  • We had a very good experience with Steve. He was very communicative and the house had everything we needed, it was even generously stocked with some snacks. Neighborhood was nice and quiet, and just 2 minutes from the bluffs where there is a seal preserve! Wonderful getaway house.
