  • My son, his girlfriend and I really appreciated a clean, quiet place to stay near the beach in Carpinteria. I was most appreciative for the fresh half and half in the fridge, many kudos for that! Steve has put some really lovely architectural details into the place and it feels warm and homey. The art is well chosen and suited our creative sides perfectly. My favorite part was a 12 minute walk down to the beach just beyond Carp bluff preserve. Very few other folks, lots of birds and the ocean makes you forget your cares as you wander. Thanks for a great stay, not to mention a five minute drive to awesome Thai food at Siam Elephant or breakfast at Esaus. Yum!

  • We had a very good experience with Steve. He was very communicative and the house had everything we needed, it was even generously stocked with some snacks. Neighborhood was nice and quiet, and just 2 minutes from the bluffs where there is a seal preserve! Wonderful getaway house.

  • Very nice place, looks just like the pictures. Great location, 5 min drive to the State beach, 15-20 mins from Santa Barbara. Several restaurants and a brewery near the beach and supermarket and drug store near the house, perfect if you want cook up breakfast. This was the perfect place to get away to!

  • We loved this Carpinteria townhome! Also, I had a bunch of crazy questions for Steve and he got right back to me EVERY TIME. I really appreciated this. I loved how close the place was to town. We rode our bikes each time we went to the beach or town. Nice quiet neighborhood, great neighbors and townhome was very clean and had everything we needed and more.

  • We had a great time staying at Steve's apartment. Everything was exactly as described on the website. Will definitely be back.

  • My girlfriend was a tad schetchy about staying in someone else's private home while they were away. It didn't take long for those feelings to vanish and be replaced by a sense of comfort once we'd arrived. The place was perfectly set up to accommodate guests and Steve had clearly put lots of thought into making the place homey and comfortable for guests. The bed was super comfy too.
