Steve was great! He took us on a last minute booking, was willing to allow us to stay knowing we have a young child and was super quick in his communication. The neighborhood is outside the main Carpinteria town area but was pleasantly located right across the highway from a cool nature preserve on the beach. We took a family walk and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and ocean. The neighborhood was quiet, clean and full of families and children. Inside the home was a well kept and comfortable place for us to easily make ourselves at home in. Steve hosted us kindly with some goodies in the fridge and cupboard and was thorough in his welcoming and guiding notes. Bonuses were fluffy towels, super comfortable bed, yummy coffee and a new pack of baby wipes on hand which made me feel that maybe Steve had thought of this just for me ;)! Easy to get to and from since we were in town for a Montecito wedding. Overall great!
We had a great experience and Steve was always very helpful. He responded to our queries right away. The location is really good, even for day trips to LA, and we took the opportunity to visit Santa Barbara and Ventura as well, as they are very close. The apartment was clean and comfortable and although it was a bit too warm at night due to the time of the year, Steve was kind enough to buy us a fan.
It was a very simple check in and Steve let us check in early, which was awesome! We were in town for a wedding, and the condo definitely beat the prices of staying in a hotel in SB. I wish I had picked a place with air conditioning as it was very hot in the upstairs bedroom... but it is July probably the hottest month of the year. There was a little bit of a bug problem & countertops hadn't been wiped down but not a big deal in my opinion. Carpinteria is our favorite little town & we love Rincon beach. It was the perfect location!
We loved our stay in Carpinteria. Steve was very responsive via email and even stopped by to show us some things when we had questions. The place was just like described and pictured. We had a great time at the local beaches and sampled the good eats in Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. We highly recommend this place for a couple's getaway.
Everything was as expected, a straightforward, simple condo/townhouse that is just a 5 min drive to the beach and downtown Carpinteria. Steve was very responsive and even offered us some helpful beach items. The place is clean and comfortable.
Steve's condo was everything it was described as by Steve and in all the glowing reviews I read beforehand. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen very well equipped and the couch and chair in the living room very comfortable. Good lamps beside the bed for those who like to read in bed. The neighborhood is a quiet family neighborhood with a very friendly family of 4 young children next door, not intrusive but very sweet and cute. We lost track of the check-in time and arrived early but because no one had stayed the night before, Steven allowed us to check in early which was much appreciated. I'm sure that's not always possible but we really appreciated his flexibility around this!
Steve was very accommodating when I read and interpreted the listing in a wrong manner. He went above and beyond to help.
