About This Listing
Neighborhood is Tendernob district of SF and is rich with characters from all walks of life so can be a little rough for some. Our home is our sanctuary in the middle of it. I recommend this place for true city slickers and backpacking world travelers. Please read reviews.
Main studio room with pull down couch, there is now a desk space in this room as well.
My place is the working office of a wine connoisseur, world traveler, amateur artist and chef. On the first floor in the back and faces garden area. Making it a quiet Studio with a separate eat-in kitchen, sleeping chamber and large studio space with bay windows and a pullout couch. You can comfortably sleep 2 people in the apartment. We have a baby now so some furniture has changed and there is now a crib in the main room.
The entire apartment. Fully furnished kitchen and linens. My wine collection is off limits, sorry guys and gals ;)

This trip exceeded our expectations by a lot! The place was cozy and very personal. We loved the art and the decoration and even felt at home while staying at Olivia's place. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and we were just steps away from nice bars and restaurants. This was our first experience in Airbnb and definitely not the last. Great host and great place to stay.
Olivia is well organized and communicative. There were clear instructions for the place and additional information about food options nearby. The apartment is great and conveniently located. I loved sleeping in the closet bedroom: it's so nice and dark when you close the doors. And the apartment gets good light.
Olivia's apartment was clean, comfortable, and cozy! There are great restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores nearby, so we were well fed for our entire trip. Union Square is only a short walk away, which was convenient for me, as I ran an early race that started in the area.
Olivia was extremely kind, helpful, and easy to get in touch with.
This was my first Airbnb experience, and I couldn't have hoped for anything better! My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time in San Francisco and would definitely recommend Olivia's place to traveling friends (or stay there again if we return)!
Great location, clean and tidy flat, 100% equipated.
Olivia was a fantastic host, their tips of restaurants...perfect!
This is what I was looking for during a 3 day stay- comfortable place to spread out in relaxed environment if needed, kitchen, and reasonably priced, yet central to a lot of activities both touristy, and local. this pretty much had all of those. it is close to Polk street bar strip, close to market street, close to union square and of course the tenderloin. it is close enough to a bart station. i guess i would sum it up as if you want to run around and party, but have a homely place to crash at and get yourself together, this is a spot for you.
Checking in and being prepared for arrival was really easy and comforting with Alicia. I knew exactly how i was going to get in and at what time. she was also very welcoming. if you like wine, you're in for a treat. i don't drink wine myself and she didn't have any extra kegs of beer on hand.
let there be no doubt, this is on the outskirts of the tenderloin and you may find yourself amongst characters you wouldn't normally reflect upon as being similar to yourself. i assure you that you are far more aware of and interested in these people than they are interested in you. you are not IN the tenderloin, but you may want to be aware of where exactly it is in case you want to plan your routes. i personally walk right through it.
overall this was a good experience. i would stay again if i were going as a couple or wanted a central hub for a small group of people in town.
Staying at Olivia's apt in San Francisco was perfect. The apartment is nice, clean, comfy and very well located. My brother and myself had a great stay there where we had all what we needed, even her tasty wine she gave us for free!!
If I come back to SF i'll definitely will book Olivia's apartment again!
We had a lovely time staying at Olivia's. Her location is extremely convenient to Powell Street where you have access to various means of transportation to wherever you would like to go. We shopped at Trader Joe's to make dinner one night for our son who lives in SF.
The picture of her apartment is corated a bit differently from what it looks like now but we were very comfortable and had everything we needed.
Her binder with suggestions was very helpful.
Since the neighborhood is a bit sketchy, Olivia gave us great directions for walking to her place from the Powell Street BART. With time and some exploration, we became very comfortable navigating the neighborhood. The apartment is very secure and comfortable.
We enjoyed our stay and wish Olivia the best.

About the Host, Olivia
Fabulous Turkish food run by a Turkish Family. Very authentic and absolutely delicious. Better than the food I had in Turkey.
Great Coffee! They also serve pastries and lunch. I love this place and it's only a few steps away.
If you need something fast and cheap this place is great. I usually stick to their Veggie Tostada's for around $3 with Chips it's a meal in itself. Across the street from you too.
Run by a northern Thai Family this place is great for authentic Thai food. The space is small but it packs in because it's great food. Their location on O'Farrell isn't as nice.
A friend of a friend owns this spot. Amazing Sandwhich spot!
Awesome authentic Thai steps away. You will wait if you are there during dinner hours.
Fabulous coffee and sweet treats in a hip atmosphere. Come in for a coffee and meet some of the neighborhood folks. You're less than a block away.
I work here a few days a week. The food is amazing Arabic fusion foods from all over the middle east, California and French inspired too. There is nothing like it in the world and well worth a try.
Super spicy Pakistani food that is made to perfection. BYOB but sometimes if it's a Holi day they will frown upon it.
I like to work here during the day because they have a nice fireplace and high ceilings. It's a bar/nightclub after 6pm. Good for lunch and the coffee is really good.
The owner is a retired rock and roll star with attitude. The place is super cute and the food is decent if you want Italian. But be ready for a disgruntled owner recovering from a hangover ;)
Cute small local spot for good coffee and a glimpse of city living.
perfect for a lazy day or night watching movies ;)
Great for a cocktail and a look around. Can be snobbish but call ahead for the password and reservation. It's worth a look.
Hands down one of the best breakfast spots in the city. You will wait if you go after 7am but hey that's normal here.
it's close by
French Creole food mixed with some Vegan fare and I am in love. Go early for breakfast or you'll have to wait. It's worth it though.
Great for a nice breakfast with wine on the weekends and a wonderful cozy dinner spot. Awesome chef and if you wanna impress someone this is a great taste of San Francisco.
Great Coffee, Biscuits and take out from the bakery of Brenda's.
If you like Persian food or are just curious I would highly recommend this spot.
Great cheap food, spirits and wine for those that want to make a quick meal.
Some of the best coffee in the city!
Love this place for groceries!!
This is my favorite farmers market! Every Wed and Sunday and some booths on Friday but it's not as big.
My favorite wine bar in the city and that's saying a lot because I am picky about wine. If you want to meet ladies it's great and if you wanna meet men it's perfect. The waiters are french and flirt!
Some of the best tacos I have had. It's in an old night club but the food is awesome.
