Great stay! The location is perfect just a few hundred meters from the St Peters Square. Its in walking distance to all the great sights and neighbourhoods of Rome. We didnt have contact with Laura directly but with Francesco (who runs the place with her), and he was extremely friendly and very helpfull. This place comes highly recommended!
Excellent location close to the Vatican. Bit difficult to find but in a quiet courtyard. rooms face a busy street but closed windows cut the noise. In the evening could hear an accordion playing for patrons in the cafes below. Very nice!
Breakfast was minimal.
Laura an excellence source re places to see in Rome . Enjoyed our stay.
Laura's place was in a great location, literally across the road from the Vatican, and is in walking distance to many other attractions - but the nearby bus is frequent and easy to use!
Laura herself is a lovely person, she's warm and welcoming and made time to sit down with us to show us through a map of Rome and just some itineraries and must-dos. Laura is an ex tour guide herself and her expertise did not go unnoticed!
The room is basic and all that we needed while in Rome at a very very reasonable rate compared to what you would pay in a hotel or other air b&b rooms that we looked at.
We'd stay again!
I can't recommend this place enough. The room is clean and charming and has a close view of St. Peter's dome. The location is wonderful as it just over a block from St. Peter's Square and a short walk to Trastevere. More than anything, I would recommend the host. Laura is a very kind and accommodating person who really went out of her way to help us. Her English is very good and she knows the city well. Meeting her was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
The room is perfect for two people. Tidy, clean, spacious, with private bathroom, air acondicioner, TV, and close to the main spots of the city. The breakfast was good. Laura suggested us intesesting things to do and she was a great host. I've recommended it to everyone.
The reservation was canceled 23 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had a great time at Laura's place. Delfina was our BnB host and she was more than accommodating. Location was a HUGE plus as it is literally 3-5 minute walk away from St. Peter's Square. We also find it very easy to find local transportation from there. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone planning their trip around the Vatican. Lastly, the air conditioned room was heavenly from the blistering Summer Rome heat.
Excellent location! Laura welcomed us when we arrived and ensured that we knew the 'must see and dos' of Rome. Her recommendations were right on the money. The room was clean, and very nice to have an attached bathroom. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be right in the heart of Rome - particularly Vatican City!
Our stay with Laura was great. Her flat is clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast and coffee were filling and made for a good, cost free start to our day. Her flat is located just a 90 second to St Peters Square in the Vatican and another 5-10 minute walk to the entrance of the museum--the perfect location for a morning Vatican tour which is when you should do it to avoid awful crowds and lines. The colosseum is about a 30 minute walk, piazza Navona about 15. Just outside around the corner of her flat is a fantastic restaurant called Vittoria with cheap and wonderful food. Laura have helpful information and was full of good stories. Perfect English and quick wit- reminded me of my grandmother. Excellent stay and we will keep in touch. All the best.
I used Laura's conveniently situated b&b as a base for my recent research trip to Italy, staying on three separate occasions on a month-long trip. Laura is a welcoming host, the rooms are comfortable (I stayed in two different rooms), wifi works perfectly, and the coffee is hot and strong! Laura was an Alitalia stewardess and certified Rome tour guide. She knows her stuff, can offer advice and travel options, and understands customer service. Late arrivals/departures were not an issue. Her neighborhood is bustling with every-day Roman life, at the restaurants she recommended (right downstairs) I met and conversed extensively with interesting and friendly people. If your goal is comfort, warmth, and an immersion in Roman life, than Laura has just the spot for you. It is simple, humble, well-kept and extraordinarily welcoming.
