  • Thank you, AJ, for being such a gracious host! Your apartment was perfect for my needs while in town for a friend's wedding downtown. The location was awesome - central to shops, bars, sights, etc. Super comfy bed, too! :) All in all, a fabulous stay!

  • Perfect area in downtown and a great place for the money. Couldn't be happier!

  • AJ was a fantastic host! She checked in with me on time on my arrival day and checked in with me multiple times throughout the stay to make sure everything was cool along the way. The apartment was nice, amenities were there as advertised, and expectations were met. The location was absolutely perfect, especially since I stayed during SXSW. It is smack dab in the middle of it all. Great food and drinks within a block. Internet/wifi was a huge concern for me bc I was there for work but when I logged on, it was great too! All in all, I give the apartment a thumbs up and AJ a double thumbs up!

    Response from A.:

    Thanks Matt!

  • I had a great stay at AJ's place during SXSW Interactive this year. It couldn't be a better location for the event, and the apartment was comfortable enough for me to take the bedroom and a friend take the couch or air mattress. Wifi included and works great. No TV, but that didn't matter to me. Only drawback was the thin walls. You'll be awoken by birds every morning, and you'll hear the conversations of every people going past in the hallway at night. Overall, an excellent experience, and I'll be sure to contact AJ for SXSWi 2015! Thanks!

    Thanks Brian!

  • A.'s apartment was perfect for what I wanted - a comfortable, quiet apartment right by the convention center. And A. was very kind and all the logistics were very easy.

Everything worked great - check-in, check-out, no noise at night, WiFi was reliable (I worked there part of the time), kitchen, etc. The apartment is also close to 6th street, where there are tons of restaurants, bars (email hidden)ly scene. And I took the airport flyer bus (#100) which stops across the street, cost $1.50, was comfortable, and took me to the airport in s apartment again in a heartbeat!

  • This place was a great location! Two blocks from 6th street and plenty of Austin Bcycle stops near by.

  • The apartment is in a safe location and really well-situated if you want to attend a conference at the convention center and/or looking for a place near 6th street (it is super close). Moreover, Amber is a nice host; easy to communicate with and quick in replying to your inquires.

However, I have two points that need to be mentioned: When we arrived, we found dirty cutlery and plates in the dishwasher – this is, for me at least, not acceptable. Also, the shower had black mold in the grout (in fact, the whole apartment smelled a little bit moldy). Notwithstanding these issues, it was a nice airbnb experience :)

  • Amber was a great host and her condo was spacious, clean, and well-situated. We had no problem using the bus to get there from the airport and were able to walk to 6th Street, Rainey Street, and other surrounding sites. She texted to check in on us during our stay and make sure that we weren't having any issues. Lastly, she was flexible about our flight being delayed and allowed a late check-out. Great stay!
