The space
Inspired by the classic bungalow houses of Greene & Greene, this 3208 square foot home lies 50' from the lapping waters of pristine Flathead Lake, on Skidoo Bay. Hand-laid rocks and tall beams create dozens of beautiful views, from inside, on the deck with a large fireplace, or out on the dock. It is very rare to find a house of this quality available for rent (but the owners have steep taxes and insurance to pay...). Its uniqueness and value make this a more expensive than usual rental, appropriate for what advertisers like to call "discriminating" customers. No one who has been our guest has ever been less than wildly enthusiastic about their stay. Across the waters of Skidoo Bay, the north end of the Mission Mountains tail off, and the Swan Range begins. You will be about an hour and a quarter to Glacier National Park, or Whitefish (or Blacktail) for skiing. Finley Point is a beautifully wooded peninsula on the largest freshwater lake west of the Great Lakes, with shores populated by wildlife, cabins, lake houses and extremely good people. We are on the waters of Skidoo Bay, long one of the most desirable residential areas on the lake, with access to Bigfork, Polson and Glacier National Park. Kayaking and boating are happy accents, and walking, jogging and bicycling the eight mile "loop" around Finley Point, in the ever-present smell of fresh pine trees, are part of the daily promenade.

Home owner - Montana. Our airbnb listing has been a second home, in Montana where we're fifth and sixth generation. It will henceforth be our primary residence. This is a very comfortable luxury craftsman home, named one of the most beautiful waterfront vacation rentals in the Northwest (by Northwest Travel Magazine). With radiant heat, it's more winter friendly than typical rentals in this area, and now with A/C. It's extremely nice, and we try to be extremely gracious to our guests.
