Interaction with Guests
I am in Sydney 9-10 months of the year and almost always meet guests for check in to explain transport options, potential tourist activities, and local hangouts. If I am out of town, a colleague will usually meet for check in.
After check in, I tend not to see most guests again, but I am on call any time for help, problem solving or local suggestions.
Located on the popular Crown Street, surrounded by loads of cafe's, bars and stores in the inner city village-like suburb of Surry Hills. This is very centrally located to most tourist activities and local hotspots, only a short walk to downtown.
3-5 minutes walk to Hyde Park.
5-10 minutes walk to Chinatown, Darling Harbour.
20-25 minutes walk to Circular Quay, Opera House, etc.
Located 1 block off the famous gay strip known as Oxford Street. It's fairly quiet inside the studio considering how close it is to nightlife options.
Very centrally located within walking distance to most tourist attractions. Lots of public transport options nearby including buses, trains, taxi, and trams.
From the airport there are 2 main transport options:
1) 15-20 minute train ($16) on the same line as the airport to "Museum" station, followed by a 5 minute walk up Oxford Street.
2) 20-25 minute taxi ($30-$60) directly to Crown Street depending on traffic.
Other Things to Note
Sydney is a very safe city and there are no security or safety concerns. However the studio has double security doors downstairs and a secure elevator. This studio is a great location to enjoy some nightlife, which is safe even for a woman by herself at night.
Only rule is smoking to be done outside on the balcony.
Scott was so helpful and quick to respond to questions from the beginning, which was key since this was our first time visiting Sydney. We did not get to meet Scott because he was out of town, but his assistant KJ continued the communication and made for an easy check in. The apt is small, but was exactly what we needed with a little extras, like coffee, tea, soap, shampoo/conditioner and even a converter plug. Everything was very clean. You can cook, but that area was a little small to prepare any feast, so we just did simple breakfast and ate on the deck with the great view of the city. The good news is there is a fantastic and affordable restaurant right next door (Low 302) where we ate a few dinners. Lots going on in the neighborhood and walking distance from the downtown. We were pleased with our stay!
Amazing location in Sydney, couldn't have wished for better. The apartment was perfect for couples stay. And to top it Scott made sure the apartment checkin was smooth and always available for any guidance.
This perfect located apartment (2min by walk from Oxford Street but nevertheless quiet enough to sleep) serves all your needs. Scott tries to help wherever he can. Unfortunately he was on his own holidays when I arrived, but he organised the check-in with a friend of him and all runned smoothly!
This was a great little studio that met all our needs and looks exactly the way it does in the photos. Scott's friend Tiffany was waiting for us when we arrived much later than arranged due to peak hr traffic and up until then communication with Scott had been regular. The studio is extremely well located and as are both familiar with the area we walked everywhere and utilised nearby eateries & cafes. There is a great view from the rooftop terrace but no seating and taking glasses up is prohibited, so you need to be a bit creative to have a drink up there! Thx Scott we will certainly be back.
The apartment is small, practical and very clean, exactly as shown on photos. The balcony is a great great bonus!! Really nice to have breakfast outside, watching people passing by :) Very good aircon (great addition for hot summer days in Sydney!!). Didn't get to meet Scott, but his friend met me on time, and the keys hand over was nice and easy! AMAZING location! Such cool neighborhood, all sorts of options for food/drinks/shops! We walked to all main touristy things in Sydney! And the bus stop is just around the corner in case you are not in a walking mood. You do hear the traffic at night, but not an issue at all!!!! Highly recommend! :)
A great place to stay. Scott was away at the time but was still reachable. His friend KJ was very welcoming and helpful. Apartment is clean and comfortable, has everything you need, free wi-fi. In a great location, close to everything, felt very safe. We walked a lot but buses and trains are very close. I recommend getting an opal card for cheaper public transport. The view from the terrace at night is beautiful. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends!
