I offer in Berlin - Prenzlauer Berg a nice guest room for one or two people. There is a double bed (140x200). They share the kitchen and the bathroom with the host.
The apartment is cosy, bright, warm.
Free wireless Internet available. Free parking in front of the house. The apartment also has a balcony useful expecially during the summer.
The room is located in the district of Prenzlauer Berg, between Friedrichshain and Kollwitzplatz. Not far to downtown Berlin - Alexanderplatz just 3 kilometers away. The train station Greifwalderstr. is only 400 meters away from the building.
From here you can reach the green suburbs of Weissensee and Pankow as well as Hohenschönhausen and Falkenberg.
Very close to many good party locations in Prenzlauer Berg.
For jogging and relaxing in the countryside you can reach in a few minutes Mont Klamott in Friedrichshain park., Max-Schmeling-Halle, velodrome and O2 World for sports and cultural events.
Here runs the railway lines S41 and S42 as well as the S8, S9 and S85 and the tram line M4 Berlin.
In just a few minutes away by tram you can reach Alexanderplatz, Hackescher Markt and the world-famous Museum Island in Berlin directly.
Just around the corner the bus stop nr 200 to reach the center in 10 minutes.
Other Things to Note
It is a safe district.
I stayed at Monica's for one month and I enjoyed it!
Although it's not in the coolest/most lively part of Prenzlauer Berg - which together with Friedrichshain definitely is the coolest part of Berlin-, it is a good accomodation. It's a nice spacious room. The kitchen is small, but that was no problem for me as all the necessities were there. The room was simple but good, same as on the pictures. The bed was really nice :)
I had to go to the city center every day, it took me about half an hour (including the walk) to get to Humboldt University, which is at Unter den Linden and near Friedrichstrasse (so that was quite fast).
Although our schedules were different, when I saw Monica she was always very friendly.
Do realize that the walk to the S-bahn and tram is about 8 minutes, which at night wasn't the best since it's a quiet street (although it's said not to be dangerous).
If you want to be in the middle of where it's at in Berlin, I would maybe stay somewhere in the heart of Friedrichshain or Prenzlauer Berg (or near Hackescher Markt), but if you like a quiet area this is a good place to stay!
Overall I think it's a good basic apartment. :)
It was a very quiet and clean room. I didn't see Monica until just as I was leaving for the airport. What short conversation we had, Monica was very nice.
Although at first we kept missing each other, I still had a wonderful time staying here. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet, with very easy access to the S Bahn to the major parts of the city. When we finally got a chance to meet, Monica and I had tea together, which was very nice. I had a great time!
Monica was an excellent host and I really enjoyed staying the weekend in her apartment. Monica is entertaining, a good conversationalist and helpful.
The apartment is close to public transport and I was able to get to all the places I needed and wanted to easily. The area is pleasant with useful shops close by.
