Interaction with Guests
We are happy to help you plan your stay in Oxford. We provide you with your own key. You are welcome to leave your suitcases with us if you want to arrive early and look around the city.
Residential street built in 1903. We have a large park at end of the road. We are very near the Thames River and there are some nice river walks. There are some lovely traditional pubs within walking distance, not to mention some good local restaurants in the city centre. Local shop/deli is 200 meters away.
We are very close to the city centre and you can walk to the bus and train station. Local buses run into the town centre if you prefer. There is a nice walk along the river to the city centre. We have great transport links: Trains to London, Birmingham take one hour. Buses to Heathrow and Gatwick operate very regularly. Buses to London every 20 mins or so. Bath and Stratford are just 90 minutes by train.
Other Things to Note
We have a cat.
No smoking please.
We ask that you take off your shoes in the house.
The house is perfectly located near to playing fields, the river, train staion and town centre. We enjoyed the quiet, clean and artistic room which is a lovely haven in the attic overloooking the garden. Our hosts were welcoming and super friendly and left us to get on with our plans as we were on a tight schedule. I would certainly stay here again, we were very happy with the experience
Dear Tim, Claire & family, thank you for opening your beautiful family home to Karen & I. We had a superb one night stay with you.
The guest room, up two flights of stairs, is quiet & superbly clean with wonderful homely touches, including a breakfast tray, selection of hot drinks, fridge & a toaster. Great shower, towels & toiletries too.
The beds, which were two singles when we stayed, were so comfortable & together with a cosy duvet, guaranteed a good night's sleep.
Oxford is a beautiful city to visit & is an easy, flat 10min walk from the property - in addition to the achingly beautiful architecture, we found a fabulous roof-top cocktail bar & the "Jam Factory" for scrumptious refuelling. We plan to return & see more!
Our experience staying with Tim was just perfect. Everything was even better than announced, thank you for a wonderful time in Oxford!
We had a lovely one night stay at Tim's. It was a beautiful room, very light and airy, with a comfy bed and handy ensuite bathroom. The location was perfect, an easy walk into the city centre. We would definitely stay again!
Tim is very nice and awesome. It located not far from train station, walkable, very nice residential area. The room is lovely! Very very nice indeed, as you seen as in picture. Everything you need in the room is there, fridge and toaster included, breakfast in the room. SO very recommended, If I come back I will sure book this one again.
Wir haben uns bei Tim sehr wohl gefühlt, schönes Zimmer, nette Gastgeber.Auch seine Frau Claire ist immer am Wohl der Gäste interessiert.
