Every aspect of the valley has something special to offer. Interested in cowboy culture? - Camp Verde, Wine tasting? - Pages Springs, Galleries? - Jerome and Sedona. Pre historic ruins? - Everywhere. Antiquing? - Old town cottonwood. The list goes on and on.
When visiting its best to bring a high clearance vehicle. Many of the best trails cannot be reached by car.

Respect the natural environment. Leave Sedona as you found it!
Great stay in the RV! Joshua had it set up perfectly in a gorgeous spot with amazing views. He took care of all the little things down to a bottle of wine, coffee, and fresh eggs. The RV was super comfortable and cozy. Lots of awesome hikes very close by. A unique getaway which we enjoyed immensely.
The host made us feel quite welcome - the "place" is a camper he puts on a national park campsite, so it is not necessarily the view as pictured. It is a beautiful setting, nonetheless, but if you want THAT view, it is not what you will have -- it depends on site availability when he sets up camp for you, and for us during a holiday week, many sites he prefers were already taken, and our view was definitely not that view. The camper is roomy enough for 4, NP. The bunk beds small for a teen child larger than 5'4". The main bed extremely comfortable. The host provides water to the camper, and made a trip out by early that afternoon when we unexpectedly ran out, which happened only once in the 4 night stay. Electricity is provided by battery recharged nightly by generator, and microwave and toaster work while generator running. The fridge is plenty spacious, as is storage. He provides ample firewood, blankets, and even fresh eggs and jam, and paper products. The drive to downtown Sedona from the red rocks site where we stayed (near Palatki ruins) is a good 20 minutes to town on bumpy dirt roads, but we didn't want much in town, and we completed our grocery shopping before heading to the site the first night, which is essential. It's a short drive to hike, about 8 minutes to Doe Mountain and that area of hiking. The camper was quite clean. The location quite peaceful and remote. If you want a view, tell Josh that clearly as that was significant for my son, and we didn't realize ahead of time our site would not be the view pictured. Nice family. Kind host. Maybe a bit pricey once you add in the $20/person/nt. supplemental, but that is a personal choice.
It was everything we could have wanted and more! Joshua met us at the grocery store and we followed him to the site, where he gave us lettuce and kale from their garden, and eggs from their chickens! He showed us all around the RV and had all of the maps out for us to look at. It was such an incredible experience, and very memorable trip. There were 4 of us total and the bunk beds are MUCH bigger than they appear on the pictures, we were comfortably able to fit 4 adults in the RV for 3 nights and 4 days!!! Highly recommended!
We had such a wonderful time at the camper. Hiked, ate outside, just had a ball.
I know you will enjoy the experience!
500 words could never describe this experience, other than amazing, perfect, adorable, delightful, excellent, fabulous, grand, ideal, marvelous, striking, stunning, stupefying, stupendous.
Our host, from our first contact until we returned home was great. Joshua took us out to our Base Camp Luxury Condo in the desert
(MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEWS ON EARTH), better than any resort in the area. Joshua, even with us arriving late he took the time getting us settled in camp, showing us to our pre built Fir Pit, cut fire wood, fresh honey, eggs and jelly all provided from the hands of the Capy family. Our dinning table was better prepared as our personal tour guide library, all info you'll need. You'll need nothing here but your food, they think of everything, I do mean everything. The Capy family was so wonderfully accommodating and made us feel like family. They were so full of great ideas and wonderful things for us to do and places to go. This family vacation was amazingly wonderful! With most every vacation over a few days, people tend to start missing home. All we did on our 22 hour drive home was plan our next trip back and invite a big group of friends. Your heart, mind and soul need this trip.
We can't say enough about our experience or our hosts. The location was magical and Joshua was so generous with his time taking us to a beautiful shaman's cave. The sleeping quarters were very comfortable. The fresh eggs, home harvested honey, and home made jam were the icing on the cake. There are endless trails to explore. We definitely want to go back! Thank you guys so much for a first class camping experience. Look forward to crossing paths again...
This was one of the best airbnb experiences ever! You truly feel like a welcomed guest in Joshua's super clean, cozy camper. You can tell Joshua loves Sedona and he wants you to fall in love with it too. We definitely did and can't wait to go back with the rest of my family. He picked the PERFECT place for us and he made sure we were safe and comfortable. He's such a thoguhtful host and I truly thank him for making my first camper experience a dream!
