  • I do recommend John's apartment! It is how the pictures show (there are huge televisions!) and it's really close to two metro stations (one of them is perfect to get to Manhattan). Unfortunately I didn't meet John, but he was always very kind replying to my text messages or email and being available for any problem or question. There are two lovely and friendly turtles, I loved them!

  • Good location in Brooklyn, easy walk to all of Williamsburg and 5 min from subway when you want to go into Manhattan. Apartment was great, very spacious room, a serious TV when you want to relax and flatmate Paul was great guy. Would definitely recommend it.

  • John's place is in a good neighborhood close to the centre of Williamsburg Bedford Avenue. The place has a nice livingroom and the bedroom is fine. The tv's are not working and the place is very noisy. appart from that we had a very pleasant stay.

  • The apartment is in a good location and it's just as the photos show it. The problem I faced was that it was dirty (specially the bathroom). As I payed for a cleaning service, I felt this was unfair.

  • Very nice home, and a great value for the price. Easy access to the subway (J and M trains), which makes it super easy to get into Manhattan anytime. Station is two blocks away. To get to all the exciting stuff on Bedford Ave. it's a 15-20 minute walk, but the walk is actually nice and the area seems pretty safe even at night. Also, John is super responsive to all messages. A+ for being so accessible. If I need someplace affordable to stay for a week or two in Brooklyn then I'll be back.

  • My stay was good here. It is a short walk to the J Line and a 16min walk to Bedford which is a very fun strip to explore. I only used my accommodation to sleep before heading straight back into New York! John is a fun and helpful guy.

  • This was my second time in John's place and everything was good, i really love that apartment and brooklyn is just amazing!

  • John is a great host. I had an amazing time in New York and any problems i had John was there to sort them out.

  • Good location with only 4 minutes walk to the subway and a little longer to start exploring the fabulous hipster enclave of Williamsburg. From the outside the street has little appeal but the apartment is large in New York terms if a little dated. Never meet my host as he was away for the duration I was there.

About
I am easy going and love working and living in New York. I am a music producer and entrepreneur. I love meeting new people and hosting guests fits in with that quite well. Fishing anywhere, especially in New York, cycling, cooking, eating, dive barring in the city, traveling and discovering new things I have not been exposed to are my passions. If anyone is truly interested in chartering a fishing boat or being rigged up to do dock fishing my close friends and I will organize to get you all set up.
