Markus and Kyoko were fantastic hosts! Incredibly accommodating- we instantly felt at home. We'll definitely be going to back to Hakuba, and we won't be staying anywhere else but B&B Koyuki. Thank you again for the hospitality!
Loved staying in Hakuba with Markus and his family. Even in summer, Hakuba has mountains to climb, onsen to relax in, and this wonderful B&B as a small pocket of Swiss-style cleanliness near the mountains. It's very well maintained, clean, and friendly, just what we needed. Be sure to follow Markus's recommendations for dinner (including Zen).
We had a great stay! Fantastic mix of traditional japanese style with modern influence. Markus has a wealth of knowledge on the local region and is very helpful with pickups/ dropoffs. His family are lovely and made us feel at home. Very peaceful, scenic location yet a short walk to Echoland and shuttle buses. Tennis table tournaments were great fun too. Would definitely stay again!
We had a wonderful stay with Markus and his family at their beautiful B&B. This was our third visit to Hakuba and found this visit our most enjoyable, having stayed at B&B Koyuki. Markus & Kyoko were very helpful and hospitable. We woke to a lovely breakfast each morning. It is a short walk for the bus to the Ski fields, and there are many restaurants close by. We look forward to returning again soon. The Gregory Family, Australia.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Many thanks to Markus, Kyoko and Selina who are kind and generous hosts and genuinely lovely people, we highly recommend B&B Koyuki it is conveniently located and it has all you will need and more! We were very comfortable in the Japanese tatami room, the Swiss breakfast was delicious and a perfect start to the day. We were interested to hear Markus' insights about Japan and the local Hakuba area. Both Markus and Kyoko were always willing to assist us in any way they could. Including restaurant recommendations and making dinner reservations. We were especially grateful for the local shuttle timetable Markus had carefully prepared and for Kyoko taking us to the post office and translating so we could have one of our bags sent home in advance. We are keen to return to B&B Koyuki and we will be sure to tell our family and friends about this little gem! Thank you, Arrigato, Danke :) Kind regards from Steven & Briony (Sydney, Australia).
Marcus was a fantastic host and it was a pleasure to stay with him and his wife and daughter. The B&B is located in an excellent part of Hakuba where cafes and restaurants are plentiful and the shuttle bus to the many ski fields is very close by. The building is very cosy and has all the amenities to make your stay comfortable. I can highly recommend the experience to anyone. Thank you Markus!

About the Host, Markus
After having lived most of my live in Switzerland - with a short stop over (1 year) to Australia - I and my family are now living in the Northern Alps of Japan in Hakuba. Hakuba is well known as an excellent ski resort since the Nagano Winter Olympic games in 1998, where it hosted the alpine, ski jump and cross-country disciplines.
I love the mountains (lived most of my live in the mountains) as well as mountain biking, cycling, skiing and flying remote gliders and helicopters. I used to fly gliders in Switzerland which I haven't tried yet here in Japan.
My wife and I started running our Bed and Breakfast in 2009. It gives us the great opportunity to welcome people from all over the world and making sure they all have a great time while in Hakuba. It fills our heart with joy seeing our guests coming back with a big smile after a great day in the mountains.
