About this listing
“Boutique Hotel” sounds a little frilly and we aren’t exactly a B&B, a hotel or a motel. Sleep Over Sauce is eight guest rooms above our award winning restaurant Sauce. Our rooms may be rented individually for a weekend getaway, or a small group can reserve the whole house. We offer a unique environment for your company or family to experience in San Francisco with comfortable beds, private bathrooms, a business center and an awesome common area for gathering or relaxing. Don’t waste any time looking for a front desk, there isn’t one, the bartender at Sauce has everything you need.
1) Enjoy our beautiful city
2) Be respectful
3) Come downstairs to Sauce (our restaurant) for a drink and a bite to eat!
Great fist Airbnb experience! Check in was easy--really nice people. Price was right. Location was perfect for us. Parking in the neighborhood was easier than expected.
The room was clean and comfortable, very much like a hotel. Needed to sleep with earplugs--it's in the city after all. There was a great community room with couches, tables, games, and FOOD (coffee, tea, breakfast foods always available). Nice touch.
I'd stay here again for sure.
The listing was fairly accurate. The host was welcoming. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy. The only complaint - the WiFi did not work.
Loved the place, the beds were super comphy and the room I was in had a little rooftop deck. Nice kitchen with coffee and snacks.
Very nice spot. Centrally located in Hayes Valley, and easy to pick up the keys at the restaurant downstairs. This was my second stay with them, so surely that says something.
Sleep Over Sauce was perfect for our visit to SF. The Hayes Valley neighborhood location is removed from the tourist areas, but not out of reach. We walked to Haight Ashbury and Golden Gate Park and we walked down Market Street to the Embarcadero and Fishermen's Wharf. And we walked all over the nearby Mission District. Understand that these were long walks, but they're totally doable and that's how we like to see a city. When you don't have time to walk, the Market Street trolley cars stop just a few blocks away. When we got back from our daily excursions, it was great to grab a drink downstairs at Sauce before cleaning up for dinner. And there are plenty of great dining choices...right downstairs (Sauce), or within the surrounding blocks. Our room was well outfitted, highly functional, and clean, and the common gathering room and available computer were both nice touches. Sleep Over Sauce is not for those looking for a beautiful view out their hotel room window, but is perfect for those who want to really experience the city and just need a nice place to lay their heads at the end of a busy day. ONLY downside was street noise in the wee hours of the morning as the city cleans the streets and the restaurant downstairs bags up empty bottles after closing. The owners were out of town during our stay, but all of the other staff were as nice and helpful as they could be. Highly recommended and the price is right!
Source is very cozy and clean :) Place is also nice to access downtown of the san francisco. And I can access coffee and ice at anytime without bothering other customer (it's one of the great part of source !) all the facilities are clean. Great hostel in san francisco :)
Room and bathroom were both clean! Only downside was that outside noise can penetrate pretty easily, but it helps to keep the bathroom door closed. The area is great and has a lot of good food options. I would definitely stay again.
