Interaction with Guests
We have always offered customized hosting for our guests. If you need quiet time alone, or help deciding how to spend your visit, we can help. We know about the main tourist attractions, as well as the hidden gems of San Francisco. Do you need support navigating the city? We are there for you, too, to help with public transportation or driving by car. If alone time is what you are after, you have access to a private entrance. We also take special dietary requests into consideration when preparing breakfast.
The Bayview district is the sunniest area in town. We are a one block walk from public transportation, a wide range of restaurants and corner stores, a new public library, public gardens and the Bayview Opera house. The ball park is a short ride on the Muni. Our neighbors are a diverse and welcoming. Come visit! We would love to tell you about all the great places to go.
We are a one block walk from several Muni lines, including the T-train which will take you directly downtown, connecting to all other areas of the city.
We do not allow smoking in the house or guest suite. You are welcome to use the main kitchen. We just ask that you clean up after yourself.
Staying with Dawn was great. She was very nice and helpful. Their space downstairs was clean and comfortable. Neighborhood is up and coming which was fine. I had a car and was mostly looking for a quiet place to rest. Would recommend, especially if someone is looking to have meetings between SF and the valley.
I think Dawn's house is best room for our visiting for San Francisco.
My wife and I stayed 9 nights and we felt so cosy. Her room we stayed was so wide. It has 1 bed room and 1 living room with 2 sofa and private bathroom. So, you can stay more than 2 people.
Dawn and her husband welcomed us very warmly. She prepared good breakfast every morning and especially she asked me when we met first time"what type of breakfast do you guys want to eat? I will try it!". I felt so welcoming.
And, she advised me a lot. "Where is a supermarket? Where is a good and cheap restaurant? and more"
Muni tram station was just close from her apartment and it takes 20 min from downtown. There are some mini markets and restaurants around her apartment.
I appreciate Dawn's lovely family and hope stay again!! See you!!
We had a lovely time staying here the bedrooms and bath are lovely clean comfortable and quiet. Dawn is welcoming and relaxed about using the kitchen as needed. The location is great for the airport and for public transportation into the city. The rooms and location are remarkably quiet. I recommend this as a relaxed comfortable place to stay.
We are experienced Air B and B travelers. Staying with Dawn, Richard, and their son, Owen was the most delightful, intellectually stimulating, and gracious experience we have ever had. The rooms are spacious, very quite and comfortable. The light rail transit is a short block away and takes you right into San Francisco. Dawn enjoys providing breakfast and we enjoyed eating with them and hearing Owen's plans for the day. We already miss them and look forward to our return.
Dawn was very welcoming and tried her best to give helpful tips for places to visit in the city. We appreciated the effort that she went to in organising breakfast for us each morning. The suite is small but comfortable. Great linens and a comfortable bed. The dehumidifier that should be left on at all times is noisy and we found the room quite chilly in the evenings especially. The neighborhood is rough. There are no decent restaurants within walking distance and you certainly wouldn't want to be walking around at night anyway. From this point of view the accommodation is overpriced in my opinion. Dawn and Richard are lovely people but that's not enough when you are visiting a city for a short time.
We stayed with Dawn and Richard for 4 nights. The accommodation was simple, clean and comfortable. The best part of staying here is that Dawn prepares excellent breakfasts.
Public transport was close by but we didn't use it as we had a car. We managed to find parking each day but it would not be guaranteed. The location is reasonably significant distance from downtown San Francisco so you will need to use public transport or have a car if you are going there. We would stay again.
I have stayed with 3 hosts in the bay area, and I will be staying with a few more. I'm certain that at the end of this trip Dawn's would be where I've had the best time.
I'm not generally one to talk much, but, I found myself yapping with Dawn on most evenings.
The guest house itself is excellently maintained, again, the neatest of all the other hosts I've stayed at in the bay area. It's also nice that it is seperate from the rest of the house, so you can just lock up and relax if you want to relax or focus on getting anything done.
They are great hosts. I woke them up late in the night at least once when I didn't have the house keys and Dawn promptly opened the door and went back to sleep. But, please don't do that if you can avoid it. It's not very nice. They also held packages for us and let us leave our luggage there for a few days even though we weren't booked for those days. They are still holding a package for me as I write this review.
Breakfast is nice. Unfortunately, I was too busy to actually ever get to sit down and eat and usually ate it on the way to somewhere or the other.
I would love to stay here again and I definitely will the next time I'm in SF.

The home is located in San Francisco, south end of town, near 101 and 280 freeways, with easy access to downtown to the north and the airport to the south. For your convenience, there is also public transportation one block away that takes you just about anywhere in the city.

This is a great single family house with a private garden and easy access to public transportation. A perfect place to unwind after a day around the city.
