About this listing
This is a small but cozy little room and perfect for just getting a good night's sleep. I have 3 out of 4 bedrooms for rent that share one bathroom. The other two rooms are much larger if you need a little more walking room.
We are 4 miles from downtown and 11 miles from the MCO airport/Outlets/Universal Studios and IOA. The neighborhood is safe, centrally located with hip boutiques, cafes, bars and food you can walk to.
My home is full of positive energy with a nice relaxing and comfortable ambiance. The home is pretty spacious for everyone to find their own private space to hang out in. Although this room is quite small but cozy, the bed is extremely comfortable. If all you need is a place to get a good rest this room is perfect. It also shares one bathroom.
My home is also walking distance to a hip little area of local farmers markets, coffee shops, bars and boutiques. A public bus stop is right around the corner as well. I am in the center of every major point: 11 miles from the International airport, 3.8 miles from the Amway Center and Downtown Orlando, 1.6 miles from the Orlando Museum of Art, 2.9 miles from Rollins College and Winter Park, 12 miles from Universal Studios, 15 miles from the Convention Center, 18-25 miles from Disney properties, and 14 miles from University of Central Florida/UCF.
You can make yourself feel right at home. You have access to all of the home(except the downstairs living room). I have free wi-fi and there is free parking on the property on the side of the house on cole st. I may also have bikes for rental.
Interaction with Guests
Whenever I have free time to just sit and relax, I love mingling and chatting with my guests. Sometimes we just sit and have a beer or coffee. Other times if we are all busy we get to briefly say hi and go about our day. Every experience is different but everyone always enjoys it.
I live near an elementary school and it is a safe, quiet family area. Lots of locals are out and about riding bikes and with their families during the day. It is a very pleasant neighborhood.
Orlando has an inexpensive bus system, Lynx. However, it is very slow and unfortunately not the smoothest mode of transportation. You can find the bus routes and schedules online. Just lookup Lynx bus Orlando or golynx.
Orlando is very spread out and most of the main attractions are about a 30 minute drive from each other. Plus, the traffic during rush hour can be problematic.
Universal Studios and International drive are the most central locations to almost all of the theme parks and shopping. Our home is only 11 miles from this central location and very easy to get to directly.
The best way to get around Orlando is of course by car. But if for some reason renting a car is not an option for you, there is also UBER and LYFT as long as you have a smart phone and have the downloaded apps. They usually charge around 1.15 per mile plus tip. UBER is more for international travelers and LYFT is for US residents or those who have a US number.
We also have two cars available for rent "only" through Relayrides found online:
1) Jeep is for rent for $30.00 a day, $185.00 a week, and $600.00 a month.
2) Toyota Camry for rent for $30.00 a day, $170.00/week, and $600.00/month. Prices willing to negotiate.
I usually have the house quiet by 11:00 pm. Some weekend nights may be an exception if guest are out on the town. I also like to keep the home as clean as possible. We have a no shoes policy and ask for you to keep your shoes outside but you can bring indoor only house slippers. We also ask to please do your own dishes and wipe off any counter space you use after cooking your meals. This is so the kitchen is always neat and tidy for the next guest who will be using the kitchen. We also ask to please not eat in the rooms. We have a dinning area that we encourage people to use. This also is a great way to meet other travelers and swap stories of your adventures. We like to think of our guests as family and love to mingle and have fun. We provide fresh clean towels for you to use and ask if you could please hang them on the hooks behind your bedroom door and not on the furniture or beds. :) The laundry facility is available upon request for a small fee of $5.00 a load to help pay for soap and water usage. There is one bathroom being shared on the premises. Please be as quick as possible so to be mindful of the other guests. :)

Happy Homes Orlando/Heidelberg tend to make guests feel like they are quite at home.
Both places are comfortable, tranquil and hospitable.
My Orlando home is in a lovely, quaint little neighborhood, walking distance from hip coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars. We are only 4 miles from downtown Orlando, and 4 miles from downtown Winter Park, where there are tons of places to walk or bike around and see. We are 12 miles from Universal Studios, and 24 miles to Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom. It is 12 miles from the airport(MCO) which by car should take you about 20 minutes depending on traffic. By bus it can be much longer. It is better to get around by car in Orlando.
My German flat is also in a lovely quaint town, walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques along the Neckar river. I'm just a hop, skip and a jump away from Heidelberg. Please email me for more info. About the Heidelberg/Neckargemünd location.

If you need help getting around, just contact us.
Terisa (Orlando's property manager): Im a Massage Therapist and work at several different hotels near I-Drive. I also work for myself doing house calls or working from home. I work every Friday and Saturday from 1-8pm. And then the rest of my schedule is pretty random. I have a passion for travel and culture and have been and lived in many places. I love to cook! I also would love to learn any fun cooking recipes from around the world. So anyone who is willing to teach me Im down! Lets have some fun in the kitchen and eat! I will be happy to help make your stay as accommodating, comfortable and fun as possible. :)

The best way to get around Orlando is most DEFINITELY BY CAR. We do have a bus system but it is very slow and only runs on the hour. Must have a smart phone.
