My fiance and I had a wonderful experience staying at Andrea's place for 2 days, when I was visiting Gainesville. The room is neat, clean and simple and Andrea is a wonderful and warm host. The house is situated in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood and is conveniently located. I'd highly recommend Andrea's place if you're visiting Gainesville.
Andrea was a wonderful host and Lilian, the dog, adjusted quickly and became curious and friendly. Very comfortable accommodations with a private bathroom in kind of separate part of the home. Location is excellent in a quit neighborhood. Would definitely stay with Andrea again.
Andrea was super nice and didn't mind at all that our arrival was late at night after a wedding. The room and bathroom were both super clean, and the stay was very pleasant over all!
Andrea was a wonderful host. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, and I really appreciated having the mini fridge. Both the bed and bath were quite private, as they are separated from a good part of the home. Andrea allowed me as much privacy as I wanted, but she was very willing to help with anything I needed. I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Andrea's Wednesday night Tango lesson, and it looked so fun that I joined in for a little while! I would definitely stay here again :)
We have stayed with Andrea multiple times, each time we travel to the Gainesville area. Her place is clean and pleasant, and she is a welcoming host. We had fun meeting her puppy on this visit!
Andrea was a great host and I enjoyed my stay very much. I had an extended stay while I was finishing up graduate school, so I stayed for a few months. Andrea made me feel at home and took good care of the house, making sure it was clean and comfortable. She was very friendly and hospitable and often offered me to join her and friends for dinner and wine. She teaches a tango class from home on select nights and offered me to take dancing classes. Wish I could have joined the class but I was very busy working and finishing up projects. I was able to work from home during the day because there is wifi in the house, which is very convenient. The house is in a quiet, safe neighborhood and the neighbors are friendly and waved to me when I drove home. Andrea made many nice gestures such as forwarding my mail to me after I moved, giving me a gift of beeswax candles, and texting me to check up on me. Overall, I would highly recommend staying with Andrea to friends and I would stay here again if I visit Gainesville.
About the Host, Andrea
Hello! I teach at the University of Florida. When I have some spare time, I dance Argentine Tango. I travel around a lot to work and dance. Buenos Aires and Nijmegen are among my favorites. I like to learn about new cultures. I don't watch TV :).
