About this listing
A clean, comfortable and quiet place, something called 'home', ideal for travelers who wish to come back for a peaceful sleep, or those who work a lot at home. If you are an adventurous soul, I invite you to join our weekly tango gathering!
Two sandstone Apsara dancers at the front door to greet you and invite you to a cozy, clean, spacious 3/2 house with a private room and full bathroom in a quiet neighborhood. Complimentary Wi Fi. Update July 15, 2016: BRAND NEW Zinus Deluxe queen size bed, Brindale mattress, and a mattress cover. The Bridale mattress is firm not hard, to prevent backache when you wake up (if you are like me!). Clean towels, sheets and hair dryer are provided for good showers, prepared for peaceful night(s) and good sleep.
Bamboo floor throughout. Front yard and backyard with a new added deck, private fences and roses, green grass, trees... Free parking on street.
Private room is viewing the backyard with roses, furnished with a queen sized bed, a small desk, chair, and standing cabinet. A closet for your suitcases, clothes. There is a mini fridge in the room for your privacy, which many long-term guests have enjoyed. The bathroom, next to the bedroom, is for your own use except Wednesday evenings when I teach tango classes, dancers might use it for quick visits. They are clean and have a respect for the space. No breakfast incl. Please note this place is not suitable for small children, as I work in the evenings in my office and need a quiet environment.
Updated: I rescued Lilien, a happy, well-behaved lab mix dog who is very friendly and sweet. She is used to guests coming and going, but shy at first so please let her decide when to come to you. She is kept outside the guest room. She is now 3.5 years old.
Thank you for checking out my page!
You are welcome to use the toaster, electric kettle and microwave, and the deck for sunbathing or just relax. Enjoy the dining area for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Guests staying for a week or longer can cook in the kitchen but please keep it at the level of necessary use (I don't cook or use recipes that give strong smell lingering around the house for hours, please be considerate). Long term guests (stay at least a couple of weeks) are welcome to use the laundry room during the weekend, with your own detergent.
This is not a hotel, please do clean up after yourself. For long term guests trash can is in the yard on the right side of the house. You can get access thru the gate of the low fence in front of the house. Please do not put trash under the sink.
NO access to my TV, please. It is bundled with my subscribed internet websites.
Interaction with guests
I am friendly, warm and caring, but not a chatter, so please don't feel obliged to talk to me especially when am working at my desk. Am very quick with emailing, but you can call or text me anytime. When I work around the house, just let me know if you need anything at all.

Check in after 1pm and check out by 11pm; however, I am willing to accommodate your early or late arrival/departure when I can. Just let me know roughly when to expect you and I will do my best. Long-term guests are responsible for stopping mails coming to my address after you leave. I won't forward your mails.
For security reason, please show ID at check-ins. Strictly no smoking inside the house. Leave street shoes at door and always keep the front door locked after coming in or out even am at home. There are plates, cups and cutlery for your use, please wash them after using and put them in the dishwasher to dry, or use the towel if you wish. Trash can is in the backyard for long term guests. Keep the house clean so we all can enjoy a nice place. Thanks and I look forward to meeting you :)
Hello! I teach at the University of Florida. When I have some spare time, I dance Argentine Tango. I travel around a lot to work and dance. Buenos Aires, (Argentina) and Nijmegen (the Netherlands) are among my favorites. I like to learn about new cultures. I don't watch TV :).
Play hard, work hard, love hard!
