Great location quite small but for two it´s ok . Elena have been very nice and helpful! I recommande !
I had a great experience staying at Michael's place. His sister Lena, who lives in the building took care of everything and even helped me with my two heavy luggages. She was very nice and available during all my stay for any questions.Communication was fluid and the appt was clean. In a very convenient location few steps from many subways lines in the heart of Hell's Kitchen and Time Square. I recommend it!
Stayed 10 days at Lana's place, it was our first time at NYC, Lana helped us from the first second we arrived by messages to help us find the apartment - that was very easy because the location is great, just block an a half from bus terminal. The location is perfect very close to time square and central metro stations. Around the apartment there a tons of restaurants, bars , grocery stores.
The apartment by itself is enough for long/short stay, very good kitchen, and big space. I'm a little allergic to dust and the apartment was a little dusty but when we opened the windows its was fine.
The apartment is at 4th floor and there's no elevator so be aware that if you come with a lot / heavy baggage you will have a difficult way upstairs.
Thanks to Lana for all she did for us, she make our trip a lot easier! So if you have any doubts about this apartment - don't have cuz it's great place to stay!
This flat is proposing many of the practical aspects we are expecting when visiting NYC: good wifi, very close to many touristic sites, quiete place at night for good sleeps and even a small kitchen if you want to save money instead of always going to the restaurant. Lena is a nice host, quickly answering to your questions. Thanks!
Michael and his sister Lena were fantastic hosts. You couldn't ask for a cozier spot in NYC, within close proximity to literally everything. The bed was very comfortable and overall would highly recommend staying. I will most certainly be back!
We had a great stay at this place. Lena was very easy to reach to organize our visit and was very friendly flexible and helpfull when needed, thanks again !
The place is great regarding quality price and localisation (close to time square and 5 minutes by foot to the 42st station that is direct to the airport and great to go up and down in NYC)
Pat and I had a very comfortable stay at Michael and Lena's in Hell's Kitchen (Midtown). It was located conveniently close to Port Authority station giving us easy access to both Uptown and Downtown via subway. Lena and the rest of the residents in the building were friendly as were the neighborhood businesses along 10th Ave. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was a bonus allowing us to fix a lovely Valentine's Day dinner courtesy of the Chelsea Market which was also just a short train ride away. The studio was the perfect size for two, nice and warm during a frigid winter week, and had everything we needed. Lena let us know to contact her if we were lacking anything during our visit, but nothing seemed to be missing. We were a short walking distance away from Broadway shows, shopping, tons of restaurants, CVS, dry cleaners/tailors, and public transportation. Plus, we loved the feel of the older walk up building living as opposed to a high rise. We would definitely come stay at Michael and Lena's again! Now an added anecdote: New York being the first stop along our 2 week trip before flying to Europe, my suitcase had endured a brutal tear exposing the contents of my luggage. Not good. I asked Lena when we first arrived if she would recommend anyone in the area who could possibly fix it. She suggested asking the tailor downstairs in the building. He didn't have the equipment to fix it, but he suggested maybe finding a shoe repair. Googled shoe repair nearby and up popped Vera's on 9th. They had my bag fixed in less than 24 hours for $35. God bless New York, Lena, the downstairs tailor, and Vera's!
