About this listing
We divide our time between London and Tokyo. Our Japan home is right in the middle of the action with only a 5 min walk to Harajuku street & short bus ride to the famous Shibuya crossing. The space is very bright and sunny, with large windows on both floors. We think of it as a soulful space.
We are a married couple in our thirties. Jon is from England and Lily is South African. Jon is a product developer and innovations manager, and Lily an art and design consultant.
We are passionate about our careers and we love to travel and explore new cultures.
We have traveled extensively & we lived in Cape Town, London, Hamburg, New York and Tokyo over the last 8 years.
The computer is no longer in the apartment, but there is high speed WiFi if you bring your own laptop, phone or tablet.
There is only one aircon unit and that is on the bottom floor, in summer Tokyo gets really hot and so does this apartment (because of the XL windows). During July, August and September this aircon unit and fans has to be kept on day and night (sorry mother earth), with all windows closed, otherwise you will boil! Two extra fans are provided.
No pets, no parties & no smoking please.
Please respect the apartment and leave it tidy when you check out.
Keep all windows closed when you open the front door (or leave the house), otherwise the alarm will go off.
Please ignore when the door bell rings or deliveries are made (unless you're expecting someone), this way a message will be delivered to my postbox, much easier than you trying to understand what the person is saying Japanese.
I am the founder & curator of Subject Matter. We are travel junkies and have been using (& hosting on) AirBnB since 2011. We moved to London after living in Tokyo, Hamburg, New York & Cape Town. We have a two year old son & we divide our time between London & East Sussex.
