Woollahra is a trendy, smart suburb abounding with coffee shops and parks.l invite you to share healthy breakfasts with other guests or in the leafy garden.

The space

Being an avid traveller I am very happy to host you and show you my exciting city from this leafy suburb of Woollahra...

my home is just 10 mins by bus or train from the city, Bondi beach. Double Bay and Bondi Junction. Both shops and transport just a10 minute walk away. Woollahra is a luxurious suburb with exciting coffee shops, fashion shops in the famous Queen Street, beautiful parks for meditation and walks, friendly and safe.

The house offers free wireless, easy parking, a great sustainable garden with barbeque and lots of seating. You are welcome to help yourself to a great salad fresh from the garden.
The kitchen is fully equipped. I offer you unlimited tea and coffee and surprise treats!

The bedrooms are sunny and large with a double bed. You would share a bathroom with other guests if there are any, otherwise it would be all yours.
The lounge/dining room are great relaxing spaces with television and lots of greenery to look at.
I can provide a cooked breakfast if you require as I live here too, otherwise there is always toast, fruit and muesli on tap with assorted teas and plunger coffee.
I would prefer no use of the kitchen after 10am

I am very easy going, speak French and a little Italian, German and Russian.... I'm in the food industry so I'd be happy to create a wonderful romantic meal for you too!!

The price is per room per night, maximum 2 guests per room. The house has 3 rooms, individually priced, please see other listing.
The house is ideal for families or groups.

The main joy of this home is it is very quiet yet so close to everywhere you would like to be.

Guest access

You will enjoy your own spacious bedroom, shared bathroom if there are other guests, kitchen and living room, garden and bbq.
Absolutely no smoking on the premises please.
Only 2 guests per room please

Interaction with guests

I am often available to show you around, what I call "added value" above the hotel hospitality.
Lifts to ferry and bus or beach are frequent.
There is a large information folder of "what's on in Sydney"

Other things to note

Occasionally I look after a dog.
Free tea, coffee, meals or treats.

Ruth is a friendly and helpful host with good tips about places to visit in Woollahra and beyond. Her lovely home was perfectly located for the things I needed to do in this district. As a keen walker I enjoyed the leafy pathways, parks and easy access to the harbourside and ocean beaches. As a food lover I enjoyed some interesting eateries and my visit to the amazing Victor Churchill butchery in Woollahra. If you are trying to keep fit while away from home, you will find some good steep hills nearby to help you out.

Indeed Bronwyn, it was such a delight to meet an energetic positive lady, such an inspiration. I wish I had half your stamina! Thanks for taking to the hills with verve and gusto! And thank you for your kind words, I so hope to meet again one day soon. Enjoy your paddling. Keep in touch.

Ruth's place was lovely and clean! The house is beautiful and the location is a big plus: short walk to Oxford Street, Bondi Junction, Double Bay, Centennial Park, etc. I walked to the Cbd and Bondi Beach a few times too (good walk for who's keen!). My room was bright and beautiful with plenty of storage space! Ruth is a nice host and always willing to help: giving me plenty of information on what to do, dropping me off somewhere, keeping everything clean, offering delicious food... . Talking about food: there's a variety of yoghurts, breads, muesli, spreads, teas etc to choose from for breakfast/ lunch, which is a great extra! And good coffee (if you are like me and can't leave the house without caffeine!). I had a great time at Ruth's place and definitely recommend it if you're looking for a beautiful, clean, quiet and friendly place to stay!

Ruth's place is beautiful, clean and close to the city. Also around the house you can find beautiful parks and 10min away you will find yourself at the beautiful Double bay. Where you can take a 15min ferry to the city. Not just that, Ruth is a very friendly and helpful host. She made me feel very welcomed at her place and also cooked a beautiful breackfast for us. I 100% recommend staying at her place. Thanks Roth! Hope see you another time!

Woolhara was a very cute neighborhood that felt very safe. Ruth's house was gorgeous, the all glass dining room was tucked away in a lush garden (pictured) and the bed was very comfortable. She provided directions and suggestions for things to check out and even invited me to an event at the museum!

Active epicure! Ardent traveller! People eater!
I have been a French teacher, English to migrant teacher, many other things but now I have a catering business and work from home making delicious smells.
I've been living in Oz for 30 or more years, originally from UK...
Spend my leisure scuba diving, walking, gym, gardening, swimming and lots of theatre... in fact anything that's on offer!
I especially love travelling and meeting new people. I guess my motto is to work hard, play hard!

Just off to walk a dog in my little neighbourhood rainforest - and it's been raining, yippee.

I really enjoy meeting all my happy guests, showing them my favourite places and just being there for them. We learn so much from each other.
Of course I am sensitive to your privacy, and there if you need more wine!

I guess my motto is to work hard play hard and share our spoils.
