Being an avid traveller I am very happy to host you and show you my exciting city from this leafy suburb of Woollahra...
my home is just 10 mins by bus or train from the city, Bondi beach. Double Bay and Bondi Junction. Both shops and transport just a10 minute walk away. Woollahra is a luxurious suburb with exciting coffee shops, fashion shops in the famous Queen Street, beautiful parks for meditation and walks, friendly and safe.

The kitchen is fully equipped. I offer you unlimited tea and coffee and surprise treats!
The bedrooms are sunny and large with a double bed. You would share a bathroom with other guests if there are any, otherwise it would be all yours.
The lounge/dining room are great relaxing spaces with television and lots of greenery to look at.
I can provide a cooked breakfast if you require as I live here too, otherwise there is always toast, fruit and muesli on tap with assorted teas and plunger coffee.
I would prefer no use of the kitchen after 10am
I am very easy going, speak French and a little Italian, German and Russian.... I'm in the food industry so I'd be happy to create a wonderful romantic meal for you too!!
The price is per room per night, maximum 2 guests per room. The house has 3 rooms, individually priced, please see other listing.
The house is ideal for families or groups.
The main joy of this home is it is very quiet yet so close to everywhere you would like to be.
You will enjoy your own spacious bedroom, shared bathroom if there are other guests, kitchen and living room, garden and bbq.
You may also use the washing machine in moderation.
Interaction with Guests
I am often available to show you around, what I call "added value" above the hotel hospitality.
Lifts to ferry and bus or beach are frequent.
There is a large information folder of "what's on in Sydney"
The charm of queen street
Proximity to a swim
Level 10 min walk to Double Bay, touch of Europe and a ferry to city in 10 mins.
Easy access to all transport if you're happy to walk 8 mins, or bus at bottom of street to city.
Parking at the door.
Other Things to Note
Occasionally I look after a dog.
no smoking please
free access to tea/freshly ground coffee, breakfast etc
The occasional use of kitchen OK but prefer not every evening.
I'd appreciate considerate use of water - a precious commodity - short showers and conscious use at the sink!!
laugh a lot

Ruth's hospitality and amazing home epitomises what Airbnb aspires to be. The basics were meticulously taken care of, but where Ruth really shines is the extra 9 yards of the experience and her affinity for hosting travellers. This is a (stunning) home, not just accommodation. With her guidance, we were able to explore much of Sydney in our 3 days, from the popular site-seeing stuff to hidden gems. We had an abundance of (really good) food and fresh fruit, in a kitchen fit for a world class chef.
We really enjoyed our stay. When we arrived Ruth was here to welcome us and show us everything. (Ferry schedule, maps) She gave us a lift every morning to The Harbor to get The ferry, is was very nice . Everything was Clean , really good breakfast. It is peaceful place. We enjoyed to take The breakfast on The terrasse. Ruth is a very very good host !!
We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and Ruth was a perfect host who provided us great treats and fresh fruit, cereal, and other bakery breakfast delights. Most importantly we felt we were in a "home away from home" for two weeks, and thoroughly enjoyed Ruth's company. Tilly, our dog adored the garden, as did we. Highly recommend Ruth's place to discerning people who enjoy and respect her home.
For me and my boyfriend it was The First time in Sydney. After a Long Trip the Taxi driver Stoped in Front of a lovely House located at the steepest Street i've EVER Seen...and there she was: Ruth. With such a friendly and warm personality that we felt immedietly like home. Ruth was Never tired to invitie us to a Swimming Session at 6o'clock in the morning of driving us to the ferry whenever we needed a Ride.
We really enjoyed our stay. Ruth' House is so lovely and the Rooms very spacious. The bathroom is very modern and everything was clean and comfy. Ruth made us breakfast every morning including fresh fruits and everything else we use to eat in the morning.
If we come back One Day to sydney we will have a stopover at Ruth for sure. She is one of the reasons Why the Trip became so Special for us.
Thank you! Ute&Rocco
Ute, you were both so very special and it was easy to want to "mother" you!!
I hope you bear no ill will to my hill (and the wound is healed?)!
Until you return I wish you a fun life together and can't wait to share some newly discovered secrets with you next time. You are always welcome.
......we hardly wanted to leave.
We had such a fantastic time in Sydney and especially at Ruth's place.
Her house is beautiful located inbetween Bondi and the City Center CBD: so it is great to have both
Ruth is such a wonderful host who did so many things for us, we did not even dream about.
We trully hope to see her again and we congratulate everybody who decides to stay at her place
J'ai passe un séjour très agréable chez Ruth nous avons été bien accueillis et bien soignes!
La maison est situé pres de Double Bay un endroit très chic et sympa pour boire un verre.
Ruth is an excellent hostess and a great cook who spares no effort or expense providing nutritious breakfast (croissants and carrot cake straight from the oven), pleasant conversation, and a relaxed 'this is my home... please feel free to share it with me' and welcoming attitude to her guests.

About the Host, Ruth
Active epicure! Ardent traveller! People eater!
I have been a French teacher, English to migrant teacher, many other things but now I have a catering business and work from home making delicious smells.
I've been living in Oz for 30 years, originally from UK...
Spend my leisure scuba diving, walking, swimming and lots of theatre... in fact anything that's on offer!
Just off to walk a dog in my little neighbourhood rainforest - and it's been raining, yippee.
I really enjoy meeting all my happy guests, showing them my favourite places and just being there for them. We learn so much from each other.
I guess my motto is to work hard play hard and share our spoils.
